Phillipe - Mistake #2

691 Words
She's mad at me for helping her? Seriously, what did I do wrong? She shouldn't have to deal with creeps like him... hell the way I think about her I'm a creep as well. Seeing her with that i***t made me extremely mad. I have no clue why. It has nothing to do with me who she dates. All I do know is she needs better taste in men. Perhaps if she stopped going for immature little boys and started dating older men. Someone like... ha am I genuinely thinking of myself. She is probably young enough to be my daughter. She's only 25 and I'm close to 50. I'm probably becoming one of those midlife crisis men that start dating women younger than their daughters and buy flashy cars. My only redeeming feature is I have no kids. I was never in the right headspace to have them. I was always so busy building my company. It's probably one of the reasons for my divorce, that and the fact Julie opened her legs to just about anyone with a pulse. At least half of the neighborhood. When I caught her with the next-door neighbor, that's when I decided it was over. We are still civil. She stays civil because of the extra money I pay her each month on top of her alimony. I think she will stay single or at least not marry just to bleed me dry. After a few drinks, I made sure that guy was banned for life from my club. I hate guys like that. I then said my goodbyes and headed back home. I was feeling a bit drunk. I shouldn't have had that last one. I still can't stop thinking of Lily. This is why I don't get into relationships after the divorce. Maybe I haven't paid any attention to women because I'm so out of the game. Who gets annoyed at someone for helping them? Getting back home and taking this suit off makes me feel more like me. I have always hated them. I may be a businessman, but honestly who likes them. They are so rigid. Standing under the shower, the water beating down on my skin helps me feel like I'm washing the day away and maybe sobering up. Halfway through, I heard the door go. Who the hell is here at 3 am? Maybe I can just ignore it. Whoever it is, they are persistent. Quickly rinsing the shampoo from my hair, I turn off the shower and wrap a towel around my waist. I made my way to the door. I am so not in the mood right now. I have had a few drinks and I'm so not on my A-game. I plaster a fake smile on my face as I open the door, and that falls from my face as I realize who is behind it. "What do you want?" "Phillipe, is that any way to greet your beautiful wife?" she barges into the room, not before she looks at my crotch with a smile. "Julie, you are not my wife, and again, what do you want?" I suddenly felt very naked and probably a little too drunk to deal with her. "Have a drink with me, Phillipe, I have missed you and I want to say i am sorry for how I behaved" moved over to the drink trolley in the living room, pouring herself and me a drink. "I am not in the mood tonight, but if you want to come over another day I will be more than happy to hear you out" I moved closer, taking the drinks from her hands and placing them on top of the cabinet. "You weren't a bed of roses either, Phillipe. You know you drove me to do what I did. The least you could do is listen." She looked upset and, as all I wanted was an easy life, I passed her her drink and took a sip of mine. I listened to her talk as I took a seat on the couch. Why am I drinking this? I am already at my limit.
