Dorothy’s POV

We kept moving as fast as we could still seeing no sign of food .

I looked at Michael who was yawning Sleepily and hungrily I could feel what he was going through but still we had to continue with our journey regardless of how we were already exhausted.

Michael’s POV

I don’t think I can continue with this journey anymore ,why don’t we take a break I am very tired already.

Dorothy’s POV

No matter what we must keep on with this journey stopping at this point would cost us a lot of trouble and you know any mistake at this time could set us back. Come on have some little hope we will make it for sure.

Michael’s POV

I could not fathom what was happening to me anymore. I felt my legs slowly loosing it’s strength to walk further.

My eyes were becoming drowsy I felt suffocated like I was about to give up the ghost, I wanted to call Dorothy but when I turned, slowly I lost consciousness.

Dorothy’s POV

As I was moving, suddenly I heard a little noise. I turned immediately only to see Michael collapsing to the ground. Momentarily, I was stunned. I quickly rushed to where he lay unconsciously I had to carry him on my back thereafter to look for a place to put him for a while.

I walked quite for sometime before I sighted a middle aged man who seemed to fix an old machine up .I started yelling for help from where I stood with Michael on my back till he finally turned and saw me ,he immediately run to where I stood with Michael still on my back.

He helped me to bring down Michael from my back and from there we took him to a house where the man lived .The middle aged man brought a cup of water and poured it on Michael to revive him .

Immediately he poured the water on Michael he started coughing and opening his eyes slowly.

Stranger’s POV

I can see you two are starving ,let me fix you something to eat first before anything else .After saying that I went to my small kitchen and got some left over food to give to them .

Please manage this that is all I have got for now ,don’t worry by morning I will get us some fresh food. Oh I nearly forgot have some water too you two look dehydrated.

Dorothy’s POV

Thank you Sir ! We are very grateful for what you are doing for us .

Stranger’s POV

Don’t mention it ,have the food when you are done eating you can take some rest so we can talk tomorrow .

Dorothy’s POV

Okay Sir ,after the strange man left I told Michael all what transpired from when he lost consciousness to how I met this man. I helped Michael up so we could eat our food.

We hungrily devoured the entire food as expected of us ,of course we wish we still got more to eat after starving for so many days and finally getting food to eat was a different thing altogether.

After we finished having our food we peacefully dozed off to sleep .
