Why did the universe have to do this to me?
I planned to forget about the past and move ahead, only to see my stepmother's lover was the same stranger I had a nightstand with.
And worse, he's my ex-boyfriend's uncle!
"Andrew is your Nephew?" I repeated, feeling my body shivering as I drew my hand away from Cage's.
Cage Rolland isn't an ordinary man but a wealthy billionaire you rarely see. His name is everywhere but his face is hard to come across.
He stared at me with a smile, as he retreated his hands back to Tania, holding her close.
"So what if he's Andrew's uncle? Stop acting like a moron, " Tania mocked me.
I didn't feel comfortable with all these. How did she meet with Cage?
"Are you set?" Cage asked Tania.
"Give me some minutes to be ready, I'll be back, " She said, kissing Cage before racing inside the house to get changed.
I still had my mind on this shocking realization, when I noticed Cage drawing nearer to me.
"I didn't know Tania was your stepmother," He said, still getting closer to me.
He bit his lower lip seductively, rubbing his chin at me. "You look prettier without tears in your eyes. Hope you're feeling better?" He asked.
When I saw this, I drifted away from Cage, trying to make my move through the pathway to my room, but Cage had both hands pinning me against the wall, looking me straight in the eyes.
"What do you want from me?" I asked.
He smirked and responded, " I was just checking if you're feeling better, or maybe you need me to help wipe any more pain from your heart."
His grip tightened harder around my wrist when I struggled.
I looked at his face and noticed how he stared down at my lips.
"Funny enough, I helped you in forgetting your pain, but now I'm unable to forget about your body. " He lifted his gaze to my eyes.
"I want you, Mia. I want to have you in bed with me," He said, expressing his desire to have me one more time.
This got my heart pounding, as his lips slowly came down on mine, caressing it softly.
This took my mind to the moment that night and how he had me in his control, begging for his body.
"Oh God, this is Andrew's Uncle, a billionaire for heaven's sake! If I had known that he was related to my ex, I wouldn't have made the mistake of sleeping with him. Now he wants us to have another night?"
Just in the nick of time, Tania's voice came in. That gave me the chance to push Cage, racing through the pathway she was coming from.
I almost knocked Tania down, leaving her glaring at me.
"Are you blind?"
"Sorry, Mom. I was in a hurry. I'm sorry," I apologized, taking a peep at Cage.
He stood there, staring at me.
I can imagine what was going on in that mind of his.
"I'm heading out with Cage. You make sure this house is in order before I return. I don't want to meet it all dusty, " She instructed.
"I will work on that," I promised, standing aside while she rushed into Cage's arms, hugging him.
Cage took another look at me while holding Tania in his arms. He gave a cunning smile at me, before leaving with my stepmother.
Immediately I shut the door close, I leaned against the door, grabbing my head with so much anger.
"Why is this happening? I thought I wouldn't see him again. Heaven, Why?" I groaned, almost yelling at the top of my voice.
"How did Tania come face to face with him? That's Andrew's Uncle. How did all these connect?!" I yelled, kicking the couch in rage.
Reality came hitting me at once. This man is going to be my stepmother's new husband and my stepfather!
"No, no, no. I can't allow this. No, I can't allow Cage to marry Tania. That man still wants to have me after that night. If Tania marries him, I won't have rest, " I panicked, thinking of what to do about this situation.
"I can't allow him to marry Tania. He can't come into our lives and not my life as my stepfather. That's unacceptable," I decided, feeling cringe about the whole thing.
"But how will I tell Tania not to marry Cage? She looked so happy when she showed off her engagement ring?" I questioned, feeling guilt taking over me.
Even though she has been bad to me, she still took the place of my mother and then as a father, after his death.
"The last thing I want to do is hurt her feelings. But how will I convince her?" I wondered.
Having no way out of this, I had no other choice but to just give it a try.
"I will tell her. I hope she listens," I hoped.

At around eight in the night, I saw a car pulling up to drop off my stepmother. I was sure it was Cage because it took quite a while for her to step out. Probably making out with him.
Once I saw her coming towards the door, I immediately hurried over there to open up the door.
" That was quick. Were you spying on me?" Tania asked when I opened the door before she could knock.
I welcomed her while she walked inside, tossing her jacket and purse aside.
"Get my bath ready. I need my skin to feel some night warm," She said, ordering me.
"Yes, Mom," I answered but didn't make a move, and that got Tania looking at me with seriousness.
"Didn't you hear what I just said? "
"I did."
"Then why are you still here?" She questioned.
Her voice made my heart pound, but I managed to calm it, saying to her, " Mom, please don't... Don't marry Cage."
"What?”
