Mia's POV
I felt my phone buzz in my pocket after Cage missed my call and saw Cage's name on the screen. My stomach twisted with guilt. I knew that I was supposed to call him back sooner.
Taking a deep breath in, I hurriedly picked up the call.
“Hello Cage, I am sorry for not taking your calls earlier, I have been busy with class,” I muttered before he could even yell at me.
Before I could say anything further, Cage’s worried voice cut through the line.
“You got me worried, Mia. Do you have to put me through this?"
I remained silent for a while and didn’t know what to say to him because he had every reason to be angry. But I couldn’t just take calls in the class when I was having lectures. The school prohibits it and Tania won’t stand in for me once I get into trouble.
