I took off my dress and stayed in my underwear, However, just then the door opened and in walked Liam.
“What the hell, you can't touch?” I yelled as I quickly grabbed the dress and used it to cover myself.
“What was that all about? I've seen it all,” he said, sitting down on my bed.
“We were kids, Liam,” I yelled as I walked into the bathroom and put my dress on.
“Where did you go?” he said looking at me.
“Stop acting like you care, you treated me like crap yesterday. Remember?” I asked looking at him.
“Yes, I just told you a fact,” he said, rolling his eyes.
“Why are you doing this to me?” I asked looking at him.
“I don't love you, and that's all,” he said, moving closer to me.
“Why,” I said, already on the verge of tears.
“I just care about you as a sister,” he said, moving towards me as I moved backwards until my back hit the wall and he pinned me against the wall.
“You look good,” he said as his breath fanned my neck.
“What are you doing?” I asked, but instead his lips touched mine and I melted into his arms immediately.
I couldn't resist his charms, so I kissed him back, wrapping my hands around his neck.
I had kissed him before and we kissed, but I didn't have s*x with him, it was just a hot affair.
He pulled me closer around my waist and pulled away from my lips and began to leave a trail of hot kisses down my neck.
“Liam..,” I moaned softly as I felt my legs start to go jelly and he immediately stopped and pulled away.
“Why did you stop,” I asked, looking up at him.
“I can't do this,” he said.
“.What do you mean you can't do this? I'm ready to give you your virginity if that's what makes you love me,” I told him.
“I can't Harper, I would only be hurting you” he said.
“You don't have to worry, I have a feeling the moon goddess will mate us. We were meant to be,” I said.
“She didn't...” he said.
“What do you mean she didn't? Don't tell me what I'm thinking,” I said with tears rolling down my eyes.
“I met her yesterday, my mate and my Luna, I'm so sorry Harper” he said.
“Just go away” I said, feeling my tears start to run down my cheeks.
“I'm sincerely sorry,” he said.
“It's not your fault Liam, don't feel guilty” I said and with that he left the room.
I let the tears flow from my eyes, I would just live with the fact that I lost him without even having him.

The next night.
I was finally here, the day of the ritual. I really can't believe it's finally happening.
The whole street was silent.
I put on my favorite dress, even though we were told not to wear anything, I still picked out the one family photo I had and the picture I had taken with Liam and hid it in my bra. In case he didn't come back.
I walked out and found my dad sitting with my mom and Thommy.
“Har, you promise to come back, right?” Thommy asked, looking at me.
“I'll come back tomorrow and take you out for ice cream,” I said and hugged him tightly.
“Harper, I know you're coming back, but no matter what, you should always know that Mommy loves you,” Mommy said crying and I hugged me.
“Mom, you don't have to worry, I'll be back” I said as we pulled away from the hug.
“Stay safe” she mumbled behind me.
“Come on” my dad said and I nodded.
As I walked out of the house with my dad, I found Liam standing outside.
“Can I talk to her please?” he asked and my dad nodded.
“Will you promise to come back tomorrow?” he asked looking at me.
“Of course I'll be back,” I said looking at him.
“Take this,” he said, pulling out a shiny gold necklace.
“What for?” I asked.
“When you come back give it to me,” he said and with that he gave me a kiss on my forehead.
“Thank you Liam,” I said, hugging him tightly. “Bye” and I hurried to find my dad and get in the car.
For a long time I looked outside at the streets as dad drove, everything looked so dull and quiet as if everyone was grieving.
I sat counting all the good times I've had in this pack, and sĩ this becomes the last time I'll see this place?
“Harper, don't worry, you're not going to get picked, you'll be back tomorrow and we won't even remember if this all happened,” Dad said.
I looked at him surprised, I thought he never cared about my feelings, why is he trying to comfort me now?
“I know it surprises you that I'm saying all this, but I really love you, my daughter, and I know you won't be chosen,” dad said.
“Thank you daddy,” I said crying.
“It's okay sweetie” he said as he parked the car in front of the cave.
“We're here” he said, getting out and also coming to open the door for me.
I walked out as I looked at the dark area and the girls already in line, I seemed to be the last person.
I walked towards them and they gave me a number and I was number 130, I can't believe there are up to 130 girls in this place.
“Take care my princess” my dad said, hugging me tightly and I nodded.
I walked to the line and with that we were led through.
All the girls seemed so excited about it as they kept laughing amongst themselves.
“So, girls, this is it and there's no turning back. I wish you all the best of luck,” the seniors said and started walking back with the lamp they came with.
I felt chills run down my back as they left and immediately they closed the cave door and all was suddenly silent.
The girls, once excited, immediately began to scream in horror.
I shuddered more, my teeth were trembling and my body was in a fit. Suddenly, a red light shone in the cave and that's when I knew I was already here.
The blood moon and the monster would soon be here.
“I hate this.”
“I'm scared.”
“I wish I had never participated in this ritual.”
That was what many of the girls were saying, I didn't even know what to do. I kept quiet and sat by myself.
All the girls suddenly calmed down and sat down.
I closed my eyes, opening them and hoping this was all some kind of nightmare and I would wake up.
I said a silent prayer to the moon goddess begging her not to let the monster take me.
“It's here” I heard someone shout and my eyes snapped open.
I immediately saw a huge wolf standing from far away and looking at all of us. He has blue eyes just like the ones I saw that day, but today he looks a little scary.
I swallowed my saliva in terror at the sight of the wolf alone.
“Run!" I heard the girls' screams.
I didn't even have time to think, when suddenly all the girls started screaming and running.
I ran with all my energy, the girls were falling over each other, but I didn't care about all that, I was too scared to look back.
I ran over everyone falling and when I looked back, the monster was still in the same position and looking at all of us without making a move.
My blood instantly dried from my body as I saw it leap towards us in the darkness. All hell broke loose as all the girls instantly started screaming and running scared.
In the darkness I saw a small place and quickly hid there.
“Please, moon goddess, if I ever escape this, I swear I will serve all my life,” I prayed softly as I closed my eyes.
Suddenly everything became so silent
