Lilly, meanwhile, was having a blast assembling and testing the drone. She had the tablet computer that served as the remote dashboard connected to the quadcopter in a flash. She walked through the guided preflight check that the software recommended. In a few minutes, she had the drone hovering six feet off the ground.
"What’s our flight plan, boss?"
"Take it high," I said. "We don’t want it noticed. Then, give me a wide circle around the warehouse. I want to note any doors, windows, air vents, any point of entry. Can that thing record?"
