IN THE KING'S CHAMBER
From the moment Odessa saw the King's Kyrennei, she was lost on what to do next. When she tried to escape, the creature stood and paced closer with its paws like it was going to devour her, but when it reached closer, it crawled back to the floor, leaning with it's body.
Odessa didn't get it. Wasn't it the same creature that sucked her blood on her first night here so fiercely like they had issues in the past? She leaned closer and looked it in the face, its eyes blinking repeatedly like it would burst into tears if it were a human.
She stepped backwards a bit, still staring at the creature. Was it okay? That creature was the king in his Kyrennei form. Was everything alright with him?
