THE NEXT DAY AT GREENHAVEN HILL It has been almost an hour since Lyra and Ronan kneeled behind the King, but he hasn't said anything to them. Their knees hurt, and they could tell that it had been bruised. Lyra turned to Ronan one more time. She had done that again and again, but Ronan didn't seem to look back at her. “Why is he punishing us? What offense did we commit?” she tried to inquire through a mind link. They knew that it was a punishment. If not, the king had no reason to let them kneel that long without telling the reason he called them. Ronan shook his head, “I don't know either. I'm so anxious here.” he replied to her through the mind link as well. She let out a deep breath, her sweat dropping on the floor. She had a lot of tasks to complete before the end of the day ... M
