Lyra and Ronan did not speak or act. They just gazed at the king as he dashed past them back into his chamber. As he entered his room, he was shocked to see Silvia still kneeling there. A low grunt escaped his throat, his bloody eyes shot at her, “Get out, now!!!” Without hesitating, Silvia hurried to her feet, dressed up and exited the king's chamber, shame overwhelmed her. She reached the veranda and met Lyra, whose gaze swept through her body but didn't utter a word. She sat on the pavement, her legs stretched out and her arms folded against her chest. While the king was away, she sobbed steadily until her eyes became swollen. It dawned on her to leave before he returned, but she insisted on staying to know if he would also have her too. Reality hit her hard as she finally mumbled,
