Hot sweats soaked up her body. Even the bedsheet was darn sweaty. She scratched her palm on the bed and squeezed the bed cover, struggling to open her eyes but to no avail.
She felt her eyes were glued to the socket, and her body stuck to the mattress. No matter how long she tried to get up, she was drawn into the world she found herself while asleep.
“What did you say?” her voice pierced through the air. She found her reflection standing beside a river bank, and the person who was speaking to her was nowhere to be seen. It was just her and the fishermen in the river. “Did you hear me?”
