Just like Lyra told Odessa, two hefty guards barged into her cell and jacked her to her feet. They gripped her hands and dragged her along—out of the cell. Her eyes were swollen and reddish, and she was just tired of weeping. All she wished was that the penalty would be light for her and that the king would survive for her life's sake….even if she would no longer be at his side. Along the corridor leading out of the dungeon, she stumbled on Eowyn, who was chained hands back and was being led to her cell by a prison guard.
