I am not Arabella

1001 Words
Arabella I felt a sharp pain radiating through my heart, a breath falls out of my lips as my eyes darted around the room. What is going on? How did he know that? Father has a lot of enemies and he has done more than good, knowing someone that knew who I was took me, I would have preferred letting myself die in the woods, The last thing I needed is someone trying to seek revenge of father while using me. He won’t care, he would rather let me die than let anyone ruin his plans and I didn’t even know anything about his pack, he never lets Natalie and I to know of it, I always thought it was protection but now I wondered what it could have been. He didn’t trust any of us. My feet wobbled as I paced around the room, a wave of shiver runs down my spine as my eyes darted toward the window and I took a step closer to it, a sharp pain filled my body when I saw two wooden planks bolted on the window “There is no way out.” I whispered against my breath as I stared at it. The stranger had left long ago, before he could let me understand what was going on, his phone rang and he didn’t look happy after the call, the last thing I needed was for me to upset him leading to my death. I have to find a way to escape. If you do, where will you go to Arabella, my subconscious asked. I didn’t have a home, I never felt the need to have friends because I always had Natalie with me, we always did things together, it was mostly her friends and not mine. I settled on the bed when I heard a soft knock and someone walked in. An elderly woman had a frown on her face as she walked further into the room and she kept a pair of clean clothes on the bed, I watched as another younger girl walked in and she kept food on the table. “What’s going on?.” I whispered, She didn’t speak, instead she motioned for the younger lady to leave and she spared me a single glance, as if she was scared of me when she walked out of the room, My pulse raced. My eyes darted to the older woman “Maria.” She gritted through her teeth, and she didn’t need to to say it, her eyes gave it away. She knew who I was to. “Maria.” I whispered as the words rolled off my tongue and I stared at her. “What is happening?. I whispered and she didn’t speak. “You have to get cleaned.” She spoke and my breath hitches, I didn’t realize I have been in my dirty clothes since then, the same one I wore when leaving the house with a false promise from my father. I inhaled in and a cough falls out of my lip. “Can I ask you for a favor?.” I whispered. “Get cleaned.” She mumbled annoyingly and I just nodded. Maybe I can get to speak to her after that, what were the odds of her helping me? I had a feeling she might help me? If someone was trapped in our home and they needed help, I will find a way to help them without father ever knowing about it. — It was the shortest bath I ever had, yet I made sure to scrub every thing, the moment I was done, I found her standing by the end of the room, she watched me as I changed my clothes and a wave of discomfort washed over me. “Eat.” She spoke. “Now.” It was a command. I looked between her and the food, the last thing I needed is to pass out, I didn’t trust the fact that I won’t be drugged “Just help me.” I breathed out, my eyes swelled up with tears as I turned to look at her. “My name is Elena and I need to get out of here, my mom must be worried sick about me, I am sure you understand that, she must be restless thinking about where I could be? You know what’s it’s like to be a mother?” I spoke and she stared at me for a moment Lying was one of the few things I had to learn while living under my father’s roof, there was no way to survive without learning how to lie? The woman looked between and the food, Maria was not happy, I could tell she did not want to be here. Did she believe what Alpha Nathan knows about me? I moved an inch closer to her and she pulls away instantly, as if I were a curse, a disease that will hurt her if she touches me. She behaved just like the rest of them, treating me like I was trash. “Eat.” She said again and I shake my head I settled on the other side of the bed, there was no way in hell I am going to eat that food and she didn’t seem to care to convince me to do so, I wanted to speak to Alpha Nathan, I wanted to tell him he is wrong, I wanted to show him I am someone else not Arabella I wish I wasn’t Arabella. “I will get the Alpha, he is not going to be happy about it.” She gritted through her teeth, her frown was prominent. “That makes two of us.” I mumbled against her breath. She looked between me and the food. “Just get him.” I breathed out. “He will have to understand I am not Arabella.” “He is not going to protect you sweetheart.” She smiled before she walked away.
