“Give me one good f*****g reason why I am being called here?.”

Alpha Nathan had the same scowl on his face as he had earlier when he walked out of the room, Maria was long gone and her words still got stuck into my mind, I tried not to think about it.

I don’t expect him to protect me , I didn’t trust anyone.

“Eat.” Alpha Nathan spoke, every word rolled off his tongue like a command but unlike Maria, I had a feeling he was going to hurt me if I didn’t.

My eyes snapped to his and I watched as he smirked at me.

“You think I am going to poison you.”

“You haven’t given me a reason not to, I’m not going to eat.” I breathed out.

I am no fool, I know what happens to prisoners in other territory, I know what those horrible wolves do to innocent people and I am yet to find out why he even took me, I am yet to find out what he had against my father? How deep it could be?

“I’m not going to ask you again, eat Arabella.” He spoke stressing on every sentence especially my name, he carried the tray of food and placed it in front of me, while he stood beside me. “You have a f*****g choice, either you eat or I feed you.”

My hands quivered as I placed it on the fork, and I leaned in to take a bite of the egg, it tasted like normal eggs, even better than the one Valarie, my cook back home use to make. I dipped the toast into the sauce and I took a bite.

I realized how hungry I was.

“You haven’t eaten in three days, I am sure you will need the strength to plot ways on how to escape.” He spoke

Three days.

I have been here for three days

I didn’t question that.

In three days, did father ask then men to bring him my corpse or did he not simply care? Did Natalie ask about me, or she is enjoying her marriage with the man I was supposed to be with.

My eyes swelled with tears as I thought of it when I shake my head, I can’t cry, at least not in the presence of a stranger, father always says never show weakness in the presence of anyone.

I had many weakness, one of them was most visible the moment any wolf looks at me.

“That’s enough.” Alpha Nathan spoke as he pulls the tray away from me.

I still had more left on the plate, my stomach rumbled as I stared at him .

His hand found its place to my chin and in a second, he forced me to look at him. His eyes fierce and filled with darkness.

“Why don’t you just kill me instead of starving me, punishing me for not trusting you, you are a strange Alpha Nathan.”

He smiled before he leaned in.

His warmth filled my skin, I felt timid under his gaze.

“I didn’t have someone fix your wounds, I didn’t have someone insist you eat, I didn’t have someone make sure you are fine just so that I can kill you.” He spoke. “You are not going to die Arabella, if I wanted you dead Believe me, you would have been dead for a long time, you would have never made it out for that f*****g wood.”

“I didn’t ask to be saved.” I mumbled when he pulled away, he stared at me as if he was trying to read me, like I had said something wrong.

I didn’t ask for any of this. I imagined I would be dead and now he saved me, he dragged into all of this, when I could have died and never thought about any of this, I was tired, exhausted from all of it and all I wanted was some peace, away from every type of drama but father always has a way of finding himself into my life.

“You should have killed me.”

“Maybe I will, all in due time, but not until I get what I want from you Arabella Blair, not until I know every little secret you have hidden inside of you.” He spoke.

“I am not- Arabella.” He said cutting me off with a smirk on his face, I could tell he was enjoying every part of this, I could tell he was already convinced I am her but I am not budging, I will not let him ruin me for a name I never wanted, for a family that threw me out and for a father that wanted me dead.

“Tell me one thing, why did Alpha Luca reject you? How could he reject you and he is still alive, without your father having his head on his dinner table.” He asked and my eyes widened in shock.
