Arabella..
He smiled, like he had won, I never wanted to accept it but right now, I didn’t have a choice, a part of me knew that, if I am ever going to escape, lying is not going to be of any help, I remember the way Maria looked at me, she knows.
“That wasn’t hard, was it Arabella?” He spoke and a frown appeared on my face.
He pulls away for a moment, like he had some thoughts on his mind when his eyes snapped to mine again.
“Tell me, why did your father disown you?.” Nathan spoke.
I froze.
My breath hitches.
“He didn’t.” I whispered. “Father didn’t disown me.” I breathed out, he did, and he lied about it, he wanted me dead, erased from earth and I had a feeling Natalie knew about it.
Nathan took a step further toward me, his hand inching closer to mine when he stopped himself and he pulled away again. I didn’t understand him, there was something wrong.
“Your father disowned you and Alpha Luca rejected you, the man everyone thought you were going to marry, and I found you almost dead in the forest, your father has not sent anyone to come to find you, I have a feeling he thinks his daughter is still dead, did he want to kill you because of what you are?”
“What am I?.” I asked, almost scared of what he was about to say.
My heart skipped a beat, I felt a sharp pain radiating through my body and my eyes swelled with tears, but that didn’t seem to move Nathan, he didn’t care.
“A Wolfless person, his heir that comes with nothing, that is why your mama killed herself?” Nathan asked.
“You don’t know anything.” I mumbled.
A tear rolled down my cheek
My lips quivered as I stared at him, words trembling to escape.
I couldn’t not deny it, everyone knew my mama liked herself because of me and I always felt Natalie felt it was my fault she didn’t grow up with a mother, if I was not born, if I had died the moment she gave birth to me, mama would still be fine, she would have even been the greatest mother to Gabrielle.
“You know what I think, your father never thought you will survive this long, he always imagined you will be dead before you even celebrate your first birthday and you didn’t die, instead you lived long and Alpha Luca would never jeopardize the lives of his men, the future of his pack by getting married to someone like you, he knew before he agreed didn’t he? So why did he wait till during the wedding to reject you.” Nathan asked.
“Stop.” I whispered.
Even though he only stared at me, I could still hear his words radiating through my mind, I don’t understand Luca, I never understood why he did what he did and why he told me to leave, if I had listened to him, father’s wolves would have never had the chances to try and kill me, but he rejected me, why did he reject me and try to save me.
My eyes glanced at Nathan, who had the biggest smile on his face.
“Please leave, you have be trapped here, knowing I can’t leave and that’s enough.” I whispered when a chuckle falls out of his lips.
“You don’t get to tell me what to do and not do, you don’t get to make any decisions as a prisoner, and answer the f*****g question Arabella.” He yelled and I jolted in my position. “Did your father disown you? And did you end up running into a pack of rouge wolves who had no idea who you were? Did you?” He asked and I didn’t speak
He took a step toward me and in a minute, his hand found its place wrapped around each side of my arms, squeezing it tightly and more tears streamed down my cheek.
“Let go of me Nathan, let go.” I yelled. “You are never going to know anything.”
“Oh she yells.” Nathan smiled, it was almost as if he had been waiting for me to yell, he wanted to push me further.
His hand got tighter against my arm, he didn’t hear my pleas and begs, he didn’t care that he was hurting me, all he cared for what to make me listen to him, tell him a part of the truth I didn’t want to admit to myself.
“Look at you, pathetic, your mother could never love you and your father could not wait to get rid of you, no one wants you Arabella, not even the father that claims he loves you, it was all for show, to prove he cared for family but when the time came, he could not even defend his daughter.”
“Stop.” I breathed out.
I felt a sharp pain radiating through my body, I felt a wave of heat, mixed with anger, it was the type of heat I have never felt before, it felt like was insides were burning, I closed my eyes for a second, listening to his every word.
“Your sister didn’t even want you either, tell me when your father banished you, did she beg? Or she did not care at all, did she tell him she will follow you anywhere you go, you and her have even together form the moment you were fetuses and now she doesn’t even care for you, does that make you want to die Arabella.”
“Stop.” I whispered again, yet he didn’t, he kept on pressing, he kept on talking, he didn’t care that his words affected me.
I felt a wave of shiver run down my spine when my eyes snapped open and I saw something flash in his eyes, fear.
“Stop it.” I yelled pushing him off him, I watched as he fell to the ground when something snapped inside of me and darkness consumed me.
