“Make sure she is not home by the time I am there.” I mumbled to Maria on the phone, the last thing I need is Hailey, Maria told me about her little spat with Arabella, Arabella is the least of her problems, yes something draws me to her yet I knew it was not love, it was something else, something that came from within her, something that made my wolf stir.

Something I was still trying to get my hand on, I had asked for the book about her family, about her generation, I know there had to be something in it that will explain Arabella, I had to lie to Marcus for that, he could never know she had a power within her, one that even she didn’t know about.

I mumbled an okay before slipped the phone into my pocket, I made a mental note to speak to Arabella again, a truth in exchange for something, I could scare her to tell me the truth, punish her but I won’t, if I do, it will awaken whatever it is inside of her and that’s the last thing I need.

It took me an hour to get ready, I didn’t expect to spend my Friday night with a bunch of Alpha that I didn’t like, the meeting, we had a meeting over every six months and everyone is meant to be there, the rules were simple.

The meeting has one single purpose, to discuss wars, to discuss every possible solution, and to make sure the towns stay in peace, and if there is any war, they have to make sure it will not affect those that are not a part of it and if anyone needed help, they could ask for it.

I hated the meeting, if not for Marcus, I forgot about it, he reminded me an hour ago and no one and a good reason not to attend the meeting.

I will have to see Darius today and Alpha Luca, if he is the one behind those attacks, I will find out today.

The moment I stepped into the room, my eyes scanned around the place, noticing some powerful Clans, clans that no one could ever cross, clans that if you had them behind you, no one will come close to you. I have been working on getting the Rossi Clan to stand by my side, I am so close, just a little more and they will sign the agreement.

A way for me to dissolve my marriage with Hailey, and find a way to make sure her father will not wage a war because of it and offer them other things in return, to honor he who made the deal.

“You will find out tonight, she should be on her way home.” I mumbled against my breath, he was as annoying as her, he encouraged her every behavior and I hated every part of it, I could not imagine having a sister, or a daughter that will behave the way she did.

“Maybe it’s time we move ahead then, it’s the perfect time, I am thinking we can have the wedding in fall, I am sure your mom would have loved it. She even suggested Hailey wearing her wedding dress for the day.” He spoke and my eyes snapped to his

Mom will never do that, yes she liked Hailey but she treated that dress like her second child, it was everything to her, it reminded her of things when there was no war, when there was no Darius in our lives,

“My mother is sick and the last thing she needs is you feeding her with stupid ideas, you know the rules, you are never to speak to mom unless I give you permission too and never ever lie to me about any f*****g wedding dress, I know my mother better than you do and as for the wedding, I will marry Hailey when I am ready, I have things to take care of and the last thing I need is for your daughter to be on my last nerves.” I threatened.

I can’t imagine coming back from a war and coming home to a wife that is a narcissist, a wife that will not care for what I have done for her and will care I was not there for some stupid tea party while saving her whole family and our bloodline from death
