As they descended the steps Spiker, Smitty and Smurf became used to ignoring the holos, and just barged through them as if they weren’t there. Tavia however had developed an aggressive, truculent attitude, and took pleasure in charging through them, waving her scimitar, sometimes shouting as she did so. She took particular pleasure in disrupting family groups, becoming more and more infuriated when her antics were ignored.
It appeared the holos were driven by algorithms of rigid logic: they climbed the stairs before populating the giant bowl from the top, descending the steps and filling the first unoccupied row of seating. There was no attempt at getting first to the bottom and thus taking the closest ringside seats.
