MARIA'S POV

Thank you so much Doctor Andrew,I am really grateful and appreciate whatever you have done for me and most especially for a successful surgery on my dad. It is really rare to meet such good people in this evil world and you and your family were there for me in a moment like this in my life. I lost hope but you gave me a new life. I can't thank you enough doctor Andrew,you and your family are a lifesaver. I thanked doctor Andrew as he came out of the operating room after a successful surgery on my dad. You are welcome Maria,we thank God the surgery was successful and you still have your dad. That's the most important thing. He replied. I nodded my head in agreement to what he said as he took his leave to continue his work.

I went out to get some snacks since I haven't gotten time to even take care of myself, not to even think of what to eat. Hey desperate but pretty girl!!, a voice called from behind. What are you doing here Margaret??,I asked. You didn't even inform me of your visit here. We hugged each other and it was all joy seeing ourselves again after many months of not meeting each other. We grabbed a bottle of drink to refresh ourselves as she updated me on the recent happenings at college in my absence. Am really confused Margaret,now that my dad has had a successful surgery,I need to stay by him and take care of him till he fully recovers and is able to resume his work again. I sobbed. I want to drop out of college to get a job so that I can take proper care of my dad. What do you suggest??, I asked Margaret.

Well it is a very good idea but I also think completing your college education will be a good addition and also prepares you for a better job. Margaret suggested. On the other hand, your dad is the only family you have so how are you going to fend for yourself now that he is sick?. She added. Am sure dropping out of college will be the best decision so that I focus on getting a job to take care of my dad. I said as we headed back to the male ward. Hello guys,how are you doing?. Madam Angela asked as she joined us in the male ward. Andrew informed me that the surgery has been successful so I decided to pass by and check up on you guys and moreover to have a discussion with you Maria. She added.

Please tell Andrew I came here and I have spoken to one of my sons to offer you a job in his company and he wants to meet you so be ready at 6pm at my house so that we can go meet him. She added as she took her leave. Thank you ma'am,I will be there. I replied.

Still wondering what dress to wear after going through my wardrobe and finally took out my black skirt and matched it with my white blouse. I did some makeup on my face and I was convinced am good to go. I looked in the mirror and I admired my look and style. Although I was looking good but I was still tense and I was doubting if I will be a good fit for him and the job. Come on Maria, believe in yourself and you can do it. I said to myself and headed to madam Maria's house. You look gorgeous Maria, madam Angela said and I was flattered. Thank you ma'am. I responded.

I believe you ready Maria. Yes ma'am I responded although I was still tense. This is my first interview and I was a bit nervous. We sat in the car and drove off to Las Royale restaurant.

LUIS POV

I checked my watch and it was past 7pm but my mom hasn't shown up yet. Get me a cocktail,I ordered the waiter as I continued to wait for my mom at the VIP seat. Nodding my head and tapping my feet as I listen to good music performed by the Las Royale band stole my attention to realize the waiter had served me my cocktail. Am so sorry sweetheart,there was a traffic jam on our way coming. Am sorry. My mom apologized as she approached my table with a beautiful young girl following her. Mom, you know I'm a businessman and don't really waste time in one place. I responded. I offered them a seat and ordered them a cocktail as well.
