"Doctor, we can't afford all this treatment. Just amputate Grace Lynn's leg."

"Mr. Steele, after the surgery, there's a 90% chance her leg will recover. Are you sure you don't want to reconsider? It's only $100,000, and part of it's reimbursable..."

"Doctor, you've seen our situation. I'm already working eight jobs a month just to support her and our kid."

I've just woken up, and I'm already shaking with rage from Andrew Steele's lies.

Eight jobs a month? That was me!

I worked nonstop until I was seven months pregnant. After that, I stayed home making crafts to sell.

I bite down hard on my lip until I taste blood.

Maybe he hears me stirring, because Andrew walks over with a fake sorrowful face.

I glare at him, eyes cold as ice. It takes me a full minute to force out the words:

"No. What about all the money I earned? I have to fix my leg."

"Grace Lynn! You're being selfish! Claire's our son! If your leg's ruined, I'll take care of you. I still need that money to invest, so drop it."

Wow. The heir to Steele Group clinging so hard to my little savings. What a joke.

I lose it, chucking a cup at him and screaming until he leaves. Then I clutch my half-numb leg, tears dripping onto the cast.

The next few days, I beg for money everywhere.

But no one helps. A few old clients even ask if I pissed someone off.

Vivian Harper posts a new set of pictures. Andrew Steele just bought her $50 million worth of jewelry at auction.
