Start of Camping

Risha POV

The next couple of weeks went on a blur. It was good really being with Alex make me happy. When I replied to his proposal weeks ago, I saw the biggest smile on his lips. And that made me smile, I want to see him happy.

“Hey love what are you thinking?” Alex asked me, bringing me out of my thought. We were in our way to hospital.

“About us,” I told him honestly.

“About us huh…” he told me with a smirk. I just laughed. When we reached at the hospital Mohit told us that the dean wanted to talk with us. So we went to dean’s room.

“Good morning, sir” we greeted him when we entered his room.

“Good morning to you too. I have a news for you. A medical team will go for a camp in a small village near the forest. You two have to join them. Alex you went last year so you have some experience. I hope you can help Risha. And you will be there for one week. Now any more question?” he asked us.

“Sir, when we will leave?” I asked him.

“The day after tomorrow. You will gather a lot experience and can serve the villagers. Hope you will enjoy the camping,” Dean told us.

“We will sir,” we told him in unison. And saying our good bye to dean we left his office. I hope my first camping will be great.

It’s the day of our camping start. We left the city about one hour ago.

“Ready for your first medical camp,” Alex asked me.

“Yeah. I can’t wait for it. You know I saw medical camping in only dramas but it’s the first time I will experience it. Hope it will as exciting as they show,” Alex laughed at my word.

“Don’t worry. You will enjoy it,” he ensured me. I put my head on his shoulder and went back to watch the natural view through the window. After another five hour we reached at our venue. There we met with the head of the village. He told us our camp is ready and we can use it from tomorrow. He show us where we will live at night for next seven days.

“Now you can visit around the village and enjoy the view or you can rest, whatever you want,” That man told us whose name is Gyrus. We went to our room which is in a small motel.

“Rish, go and get fresh, I will wait for you outside and then we will go for a visit, ok?” Alex asked me.

“Sounds perfect. I will be back soon,” I gave him a peek on his lips and went to my room. It was small but perfect for seven days, the bed was comfy also. It has attached a small bathroom and a balcony. I took a long shower, after journey I needed it. After getting ready I text Alex.

Risha: Hey, boyfriend are you ready for our little trip x

Alex: Always ready for you baby. Waiting for you outside. come soon. I am already missing you xx

Risha: Five minutes baby. I am on my way. I am missing you too x

Alex: Okay see ya x

I went outside and saw Alex was waiting for me.

“Hey. Waiting for someone?” I joked.

“Yeah I am waiting for my beautiful girlfriend. Did you see her?” He asked me.

“Look at me. I am also beautiful. You can hang out with me. So why waiting for your girlfriend?” I sarcasm.

“Of course you are beautiful. But you know, my girlfriend is more beautiful and I can’t cheat on her,” her told in a funny way.

“Aww. You are so loyal. But I feel heartbroken, you know,” I faked a sad sigh.

“Aww. Don’t worry sweetheart. You will also find a man as handsome as me,” saying that he winked at me.

“Really! Thank you. Bye handsome,” I told him and him and tried to walking past him. But he was first to hold me.

“Where are you going naughty girl?” He asked while holding me from my back.

“Why you told me that you don’t want to hang out with me. So I am going to find someone more handsome than you. You go and get your girlfriend,” I told him in a faked angry tone and tried to get out of his hold.

“I am holding girlfriend,” he told me and kissed on my cheek. Then we looked at each other and burst into laughter. When we got hold of our breathing, Alex held my hand and took me towards the village market. We visit different shops there.

“Hey look that bangles. These are beautiful. It will look good on you,” Alex told me.

“Then gift me that,” I joked and he literally bought it for me.

“Are you two doctors who came for medical camp,” the shopkeeper asked us.

“Yes we are. If you know someone who is sick and can’t treatment for money. You can tell them to visit the medical camp. We are staying for one week and we will provide free treatment,” Alex told him.

“Yes. Definitely I will tell them,” he assured us. After a few more chit-chat we left. Alex and I was having a great time. Suddenly we heard a scream and we ran towards the sound. When we reached there, we saw a pregnant woman was in her labor. Alex went towards her and check on her.

“We have to perform the delivery now,” Alex told.

“No. A man can’t touch my wife,” The woman’s husband yelled. How superstitious!

“But if he won’t do that you would lose your wife and your child both,” I exclaimed. But the man wasn’t ready to agree.

“Okay. No time for argument. Rish, do it. She is a woman. Hope you don’t have any problem now.” Alex told him. “But…” I went to argue. “You can do it, Rish. I told you before that I trust you, right?” he told me and I nodded. Then started to give me instruction from outside and after a few moment later we heard the baby’s cry. Wow I just did it. I cleaned the baby and wrapped her in some cloth and gave her to her mother. When I came outside, saw Alex was standing there with a proud look on his face.

“I did it and she is beautiful,” I told him and he smiled.

“Yes, you did it sweetheart,” He told me. Then the baby’s father brought her towards us.

“You helped her to come to this world. Now can you give her a name?” he told me while giving her to me. I took her and look towards Alex. He has small smile on his face while he was looking at her.

“I only did what he told me to. If he wasn’t here I wouldn’t able to do that. So give him the credit to name her,” I told that man and he nodded. I was looking at me while I said so. “Alex…” I called him softly.

“Rishika.” He named her and smiled. Hell he named her after me. “She is really beautiful,” Alex gushed. Then I gave her to him. He took her happily and cooed her.

“The name is beautiful. Thanks to you both,” The man told us. After a few moment we bid our good bye to him and he took his daughter inside then we left for the motel.

“Why did you named her after me?” I asked him in our way.

“You gave me the opportunity to do that and I couldn’t think batter than this,” He told me simply. Today was the first day of our camping. I think it’s a good start.
