A Chance of Escape

*While Harold is away, Arianne kept on trying to convince his goons to let her go so she could see her bestfriend, but none of her tactics worked. Meanwhile, when the night had come, Harold’s goons went all outside. Arianne can see them from a distance, she tried to loosen the rope that was tied on her, luckily they got busy when a balut vendor pass by.

Goon 1: Hey boy, how much is that?

Pablo: only 14 pesos

Goon 1: (to his fellow goons) Hey you guys want some?

His fellow goons: Yes

Goon 2: And get me one chicharon too with spicy vinegar (he yelled)

Goon 1: You heard him boy. Give me four of your balut and one chicharon

Goon 2: Don’t forget my spicy vinegar (He yelled from a distance)

Pablo: Yes sir (he exclaimed happily) Here’s your four balut and the chicharon. And here’s the spicy vinegar.

Goon 1: Why is this so many?

Pablo: For your balut sir, cause that’s going to be a lot tastier with my vinegar (winked) Oh and don’t forget the salt

Goon 1: Ok. Here’s your payment

Pablo: Ok so you’re change is gonna be….

*When Arianne cannot lose her string, and noticed that there’s a person outside she shouted for help

Arianne: Help! Please help me

*One of the goons rushed to Arianne and quickly covered her mouth.

Pablo: What’s that noise

Goon 1: That’s nothing kid, go now and keep the change. (Pushes Pablo away)

Goon 1: (to the goon that rushed to Arianne) Hey! Cover that girl’s mouth, or else we are all gonna be fired by Mr. Anders.

*The four goons of Harold started eating the foods that they have bought from the vendor until…

Goon 2: (He yawned two to three times as if he was very sleepy) Oh you guys take over I’m just going to take a nap.

Goon 1: Hey! You can’t take… (Interrupted in talking when he suddenly yawned) a rest (suddenly dozed off)

Goon 2: Look at this, he said not to sleep but he (yawn again) slept (suddenly dozed off too)

Goon 4: (looks sleepy too but tried his best to wake up his other three associates) Hey guys wake up (upon reaching goon 2 he couldn’t help himself and fell asleep too)

*Arianne was wondering what exactly happened to those four guys, but despite her surprise, she took this opportunity to escape, suddenly she saw somebody’s shadow at the entrance of the door. Arianne got scared because of the thought that it was Harold, so she hurried more in removing the tie in her hand and constantly checks the person behind the door. Then the person suddenly speak.

Pablo: (slightly whispers) Arianne

Arianne: Pablo?! (She cried lowly)

Pablo: I’m here to help (he whispered )

Arianne: How did you know that I am here?

Pablo: I saw the guy with a beautiful car took you, so I followed him. Then when I came out with a plan I hurried to help you. (Approached Arianne and tried to loosen the rope on her feet)

Arianne: But who’s with you?

Pablo: I came here alone

Arianne: What?! Why you did not call the police?

Pablo: I tried to, but before I was able to reach out to them I saw the guy that took you gave them money secretly. There I already removed the rope on your feet, now give me your hand.

*Arianne reach out her tied arms to Pablo, when suddenly they heard an angry man approaching, it was Harold!!!

Harold: That brat, she is really getting on my nerves! (Sees his men sleeping and got even more mad) Hey! Why are you all sleeping! Get up (kicks those who are on the floor and beats the table so those who dozed off there would wake up)

*Arianne and Pablo looked at each other and both of them were shocked and got filled with fear and anxiousness.

Arianne: You must go. He might see you and lock you up here too.

Pablo: I’m not going without you, I will just hide and wait for him to go, we might not get another chance like this again.

Arianne: No! You must go, his goons know your face so they’ll surely search for you here. Go ahead and get help.

Pablo: But to whom?

Arianne: You know who to approach

*Pablo stand up as quick as he can to escape and get help, but they already blocked the door and he is about to get caught.
