Milton escorted Lilianna from the funeral, shamelessly with a hand to her back-showing an ownership of her that befuddled all guests alike. They were aware of Zachary's engagement to her and were now acting as a witness to his father's interest in her-unaware how diabolical this had been. Nevertheless, Lilianna played her part of grieving fiance to perfection as Milton was prideful from having a woman of her caliber on his arm. Both individuals of this couple ignored the eyes following them in awe and the comments spoke against them in confusion before they slipped into a car awaiting them.
