Joan's Story

Episode One

My name is Joan, and I'm about to share with you how I met Williams, or Will, as I affectionately call him, on campus.

I had just been admitted to UC Santa Barbara, and my sister Chloe accompanied me to campus as I got settled. We started the day by printing out necessary documents at the campus cafe, followed by a visit to the bursary office to complete an agreement form. Afterward, we headed to my faculty to obtain my matric number. Once everything was finalized, Chloe drove me to my off-campus residence.

As time passed, I befriended Evelyn, Cherry, and Mark. Evelyn and Mark were particularly close, having attended high school together, while Cherry was more of an acquaintance to me. Mark, who was also studying Law, was the first friend I made on campus. He introduced me to Evelyn, and we quickly became close. I developed feelings for Mark, drawn to his charming, humorous, and handsome nature. Despite being taller than him, I couldn't help but feel a connection.

I confided in Mark about my feelings, and to my delight, he reciprocated. We spent hours talking on the phone, and I was thrilled to have found someone who treated me so well. Eager to share my excitement, I told Evelyn about my crush on Mark, expecting her to be happy for me. However, her response was lukewarm, leaving me wondering if I had misread the situation.

Evelyn's POV:

Joan is interested in Mark? Unacceptable! I've had feelings for Mark since high school, and I'm certain he feels the same way. I turned him down when he asked me out, but I never thought he'd move on. I need to act quickly to secure Mark for myself.

I excused myself, citing a family obligation, and hastily left Joan to meet Mark. Upon arriving at his place, I feigned missing my friend and asked him to spend time with me. As he fetched orange juice, I admired his physique, intentionally spilling the drink on my dress to create an opportunity. I manipulated him into allowing me to shower and wash my dress, making sure to draw attention to my attributes.

Mark's POV:

Evelyn is stunning, and I still have feelings for her. However, I'm torn between my affection for her and my growing connection with Joan. As I pondered, I heard a scream from the bathroom and rushed to find Evelyn unconscious on the floor. Concerned, I approached her, only to have her pull me into a kiss. She was irresistible, and I couldn't resist her advances. We engaged in an intense, passionate encounter, and I couldn't help but be drawn to her.

The next day, I asked Evelyn to be my girlfriend, and she accepted. I rationalized that I would explain the situation to Joan in person, hoping she would understand.
