The car stopped abruptly, shaking me out of my focus and shattering the careful bubble I'd made as I slipped out of the stupor of half sleep I found I'd fallen into. More silent cursing followed on my behalf as Leah returned to my side, the car door opening and closing with a muffled thud. Viviana moved through the darkness, past a line of other vehicles toward what looked like a towering, modern church with a massive steeple glowing in red neon. I think we're harvesting, Leah sent.
