“We’ve got a lead!” My Dad exclaims with a strong breath. He slaps a file down on the wooden table as I rub my eyes and proceed with a loud yawn. My cereal bowl shakes a bit from the impact, and I peer up with my half open eyes at my father's determined face, so full of pride and anticipation. "What?" I ask, my voice so low and raspy. I regret saying anything. My throat feels like sandpaper, and I reach out for my glass of milk whilst my Dad hurriedly starts flipping the file open in front of me, with slightly trembling hands. I cross my legs on my chair and sigh with my head still hazy with sleep and my eyes, unfocused.
