Do you?" He asked again, while she just blinked not finding a word to utter out.
"Stop it already" Caleb however pull her away from him, saving her from the dire situation, she got trapped in.
She lets out a deep breath, her heart strangely beating rapidly. Probably from the fear, his gaze alone had instilled in her. Just who on earth is he, for him to be this intimidating?
"Stop it now...you're scaring her" Caleb said staring back at the man who held a cold expression on still.
"Ruth?" Caleb faces the silent Ruth.
"Are you okay?" He asks, she nods giving him a small smile.
"Do you know him...who is he?" She asked back, avoiding the man's burning gaze which was on her.
"Actually..." Caleb looks at the man, whose gaze remained on Ruth.
"He's my uncle" Caleb revealed.
Both Ruth and the man shifted their gazes at him, in surprise.
"Un...cle?" Ruth asks almost in a whisper.
"Huh. He's Coco Bollocks, My Uncle" Caleb said back.
"But..." She looks at the supposed man named Coco then back to Caleb.
"I thought you lost your family in a plane crash and you have no relatives?" She whispers asked. Coco on hearing this couldn't help snickering.
Caleb looks at him but then clears his throat.
"He's a distant relative of mine. We've lost contact for a while now, it's surprising seeing him here now." He replied and faces Coco.
"Uncle" He calls, walking closer to him with a smile. He wraps his arms around Coco, slowly whispering to his ear.
"Don't try anything funny...I won't take it lightly with you" He pulls back with a wide smile.
"It's so nice to meet you here, wow...how many years has it been uncle? You still haven't changed, always cracking silly jokes also. I told you that wasn't accepted right? You really should stop saying weird things to people." Caleb says patting his shoulder. Coco smirks at him.
"Apologies...Nephew..." He looks over to Ruth who was giving him some unpleasant stares.
"Apologies, Little lady" He said to her. Ruth couldn't help scoffing, finding him more rude.
"Have you always been in this country or you're just here for a trip? It's funny seeing you here" Caleb prompt more.
"If I tell you what brings me here, heavens would probably break lose" He replied, with the smirk still playing on his lips.
Caleb clears his throat.
"Oh right!" Caleb held Ruth's hand with a smile.
"Meet my wife, Ruth. Ruth...my uncle, Coco" Caleb introduced.
Ruth clears her throat and step forward.
"Hi..." She reached her hand forward to Coco for a handshake.
"I'm Ruth Caldwell, not 'Little lady' " She says to him.
"Hello, Little lady Mrs Ruth..." He took her hand with a smile.
Ruth couldn't help scoffing, removing her hand from his.
Coco tuck his hands back into his pockets.
"You two seems to be having a nice time, I wouldn't wanna interrupt that further. Go on with your thing, I'll go my way now. If I stay a minute more here...things might get messy" He says cockily.
"Yeah. Sure. You must have businesses to attend to. Let's meet up and talk later. Just you and I" Caleb stated. Coco said nothing and just walk away from them.
Ruth couldn't help scoffing for the umpteen time.
"What a weirdo" She says staring at his back as he leaves.
"He's always like that. Don't mind him...let's continue eating. Come on" He led her back to her seat.
"I seriously don't wanna meet him again, he's a bad vibe" Ruth condemns.
"You'll never meet him again. I will make sure of that. Eat up" Caleb says and she nods, picking up her fork.
"Ugh! What a turn off..." She mutters.
~HOURS LATER~
The day was fun. They had visited a lot of places, bought a ton of things and took a lot of pictures. It was just the perfect date, for their honeymoon.
It wasn't that late when they got back to the hotel. Ruth made sure of that. Even though the date they had was just the best, she had had something else in mind, to make it perfect.
And that would be, ending the night on a hot passionate note.
Checking herself in the mirror, she heaves out a sigh putting on one of her best smiles.
The last step to make this night a complete success, is just about to be taken.
With the door opening, a pair of her long sexy leg was the first thing that appeared. Then with slow careful stride, the other followed, seductively cat walking fully into the room.
"Husband..." She calls in a tiny seductive tone.
"Look what I've got h_" The remaining words however got stuck in her throat on seeing her so called husband whom she had prepared so much for, sprawled on the bed like a boneless elephant, SLEEPING AND SNORING.
Again! Just again!
He did the same thing.
Second night of their honeymoon, and she's left hanging and disappointed...yet again.
~DAYS LATER~
After spending a few days in Spain for their honeymoon, they eventually returned home. Actually not because they wanted to, but because Caleb had to come back to attend to some 'Urgent businesses' according to him. Ruth had no choice but to just accept, though she doesn't really want to, but who is she to stop him from attending to his business.
According to what he told her, when she prompts about his so called business, it turned out it's just a start up electronic company. So a lot of attention is needed for it to grow, this is no time for him to be playing around.
Though it was frustrating for Ruth to find out she married a workaholic, she had no choice but to support him, she can't just be thinking of her own selfish interest only.
She has to be supportive.
Maybe she should just start by giving him some time, since the marriage came a rush.
As time goes on, he'll open up to her. Eventually.
