Chapter 4: Gay?

Within seconds, everyone began leaving the hall. All were aware of the Lycan’s feelings. The hall was quiet—not a soul was left behind. It was just us. I swallowed hard. All my plans were shattered. “What… I… hmm… meant…” I stammered as he walked closer. His gaze softened. I could still see part of his wolf in his eyes. “You are one naughty girl,” he sneered, his eyes losing the color of his wolf. His amber eyes were still fixed on me. He slowly wrapped his hands around my waist. He stared down at my lips. His eyes were drawing me in, making me feel shy. I lowered my gaze for the first time. He lifted my chin with a calm smile. “Look what you've done to me.” “…” I was suddenly speechless. I felt the need for him—my body burned with desire that I didn't understand. He drew closer. I shut my eyes, waiting for his kiss, but I only felt a light peck on my cheek. My eyes flung open in annoyance, only to see his smiling face. “I don't think getting dressed up is enough to seduce me,” he teased and patted my head like I was a puppy. Then he let go of my waist. This character of his! It's always what pushes me to do the unexpected. I tiptoed and placed a kiss on his lips. Before I could brag about how I won by taking the kiss he had just deprived me of, he wrapped his hands around my waist and went for a full kiss—sucking, his tongue exploring my mouth. He lifted me up, and I wrapped my legs around him. He used his other hand to wipe everything off the huge table where meals were being set. He dropped me gently on the desk and trailed kisses to my neck—sucking and kissing. His other hand slowly unzipped my gown. He fondled my breasts gently, then stopped. Our heavy breaths were the only sound in the hall. I could feel his desire, and I could also feel mine as though it were his. I leaned in, wanting more, but instead, he moved away—so fast that it left me momentarily distorted. Before I could realize what had happened, he was already out of the hall. The hall was filled with the mixture of our arousal. I was still breathing loudly. I tidied my dress and got up from the table. Why did he stop? I frowned. Goodness! What the hell is wrong with you? I frowned at myself. I was supposed to discuss with him the possibility of being his personal servant and also attempt to gather information about how the raids were planned and administered. Instead, I almost had s****l intercourse with him before I could utter any word about it. Laura walked in—he must have called her to check on me. She sighed, looking at me. She came closer and sniffed me. I raised a brow. “What was that for?” “Nothing. The Lycan has allowed you to stay as his personal servant. You would be given an apartment to stay in and would only be in his presence if he asked you. I will be the one managing you, so you don't have to worry about food. No one will be allowed to bully you. You can—” I scoffed. “That jerk!” I cursed. Her eyes widened. “Who are you referring to?” “You're a Lycan. He sees that I have an effect on him, and for that, he intends to drive me away from him. All that you are saying simply means: live quietly without disturbing the Lycan, and everything will be given to you to live comfortably,” I replied. “Isn't that the meaning of the instructions he gave you?” Laura stared at me. “So what if it is? If he wants you to stay away, don't you think you should?” “No. I'm not here to live comfortably,” I said to the lady and was made to leave. “How much more turmoil do you want to cause?” she suddenly yelled, startling me. “Can't you see the confusion and chaos you bring?” She sighed. “How much did Sir Dylan give you? What did he promise you? Wealth? Fame? Did he promise to make you his favourite slut?!” She got upset. I raised a brow, facing her. “I don't give a damn what Sir Dylan wants or thinks. I don't have anything to live for, so I am simply living as I please. Everything I do is exactly what I want to do.” “The Lycan… is gay,” Laura said softly. I blinked rapidly. “What?!” “He didn't have s*x with you, did he?” she asked. I shook my head. “But…” I could have sworn he was hard. “What about the arousal?” She sighed. “I don't know why that happened. But he is gay. His father was gay and only met his mother to produce him. As soon as the Lycan was born, his mother was killed, and he was trained by his father and his father's lover—a beta warrior… The Lycan also has a man he is close to. It's his personal Beta, Adrian. He had gone on a mission sent by the Lycan, but he will be back soon. The best thing to do is live quietly—” “I don't believe it,” I cut her off. “His response to me… No. I need proof.” Laura held my hand. “The Lycan has kept quiet about it for years. There is no need for you to seek proof. Or do you really intend to be more than a slave to Lycan Draven?” I paused. “I should be asking you that.” She frowned. “I am simply a helper.” “Where is he?” “He is resting in the room—” I walked away, cutting her off. Fortunately, I could trace my steps back to his room. I didn’t knock before entering. He was sitting on the bed, his head facing the ground. “Are you gay?” I asked. He raised his head, his eyebrows furrowed. “Why would you say—” “Then why did you stop?!” He looked away. “If I continued, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself. I might have ended up marking you or hurting you. You should—” I unzipped my dress, letting it fall to the ground, revealing my undies. “Prove it.” I didn't know why the fact that he might be gay made me feel hurt. It felt like something ended before it even got started. “f**k me, Draven,” I called out his name. —
