Before I fell asleep, I called my friend Claire to help me with my shift tomorrow. “I really need to get this job,” I said to myself.
The next morning, I woke up late the interview was in the next thirty minutes. I quickly took a bath, applied light makeup, and carved my brows. I put on a pencil skirt and a white long-sleeve corporate shirt, packed my hair into a ponytail, and slipped into my kitten heels.
I looked at myself in the mirror. The pencil skirt brought out my shape and hugged my body in all the right places. I quickly called a cab and headed to the company.
When I got there, they were about to begin. My heart raced when I heard my name I was the first to be interviewed, I thought nervously.
I quickly straightened myself and caught my breath before walking into the room.
A tall figure stood in front of the glass window.
“Sit,” he said.
His voice sent a shiver down my spine.
“Lucy Woods,” he said, turning toward me as he walked to the table.
It was him.
My heartbeat spiked I was both happy and terrified. What is he doing here? I thought. I have to keep it professional.
My throat went dry. I coughed lightly and said, “Yes, that would be me.”
He stared at me for a moment, then glanced down at my CV.
“So, why do you want to work here?” he asked.
Maybe because I need some damn money and you took my last job from me, I thought bitterly.
I forced a smile. “Well, I’ve always wanted to meet great people and work with them. All my life, I’ve dreamt of working side by side with successful individuals like you,” I said, keeping my voice steady. “So please, if I get this job, I’ll show you just how good of a personal assistant I can be.”He looked at me, his eyes slowly glancing over my body before stopping at my chest, then returning to meet mine. I quickly avoided eye contact.
“Okay, that’s all for today. Just wait for our call this evening hopefully, you’ll get it,” he said.
“Okay, thanks for today,” I replied, then walked out of the office.
Did I do well? Would I get this job? I really needed it for Dad and for myself.
When I got back to my apartment, I decided to watch a movie and have some ice cream. I took a bath and came out of the shower wearing a baggy shirt and a pair of shorts.
Walking into the room I saw James on the bed making himself comfortable a loud scream came out of my mouth

I watched her walk out of the office i called Layla my personal assistant who wants to retire tell the rest of the girls who came for the interview to leave i said lucky i said her name to myself what an interesting character i thought think of her made me hard I calmed myself down and decided I would be the one who would let her know she got the job .
Later in the evening I pulled up into the motel Lucy stays at I stinks here i cant believe my girl stays here i would be the one who would change her live . I knocked on the door but it seems she left it opened i welcomed myself in but no one was in the room but I noticed the shower in the bathroom was on I made my self comfortable and relaxed on her bed it was comfortable and smelt just like her
Before I could get comfortable, a loud scream came from Lucy’s mouth.
“Hey, hey, calm down! It’s me,” I said quickly.
“What are you doing here?” she asked, her voice shaking.
“I came to see how you were doing,” I said to her.
“Why? You could have just waited,” she replied.
“I couldn’t,” I said, looking into her eyes. “You left me that night. Why? Did I do something? Did I hurt you?”
“No I don’t know what you are talking about ” she said softly avoiding my gaze. “Sir you are scaring me i dont know why you are here but I am the wrong person.”
“Hey, I would never scare you okay,” I said as I stepped closer to her. “So you have forgotten about that night the way you moaned and was shaking under me uncontrollably huh ” I asked her gently staring into her eyes as they slowly swept across her body
She pulled her hands away from mine and moved back. “Nothing has ever happened between me and you sir” she said looking at her toes.Maybe she doesn’t want to talk about it, I thought to myself.
“So, I guess you’ll be going now that you’ve seen me,” she said.
“Yeah I guess so do you have a boyfriend ?” I said.
Before she could answer, a knock came at the door.
“Sorry,” she said quickly and went to open it.
Who would be coming to her doorstep at this hour? I wondered and then I saw a guy standing there with flowers and chick fil a.

It was Caleb.
“Hey,” I said to him. “What are you doing here?” I added.
“I’ve been trying to reach you. Claire told me about the interview you had today, so I brought you flowers and Chick-fil-A. Hope you like them,” he said with a smile on his face.
“Sure… erm, just drop them on the table,” I said to him.James stared at Caleb with anger before walking out of the room.
“Goodnight, Lucy,” he said as he stormed out.
“Wow, what was that about?” Caleb asked.
“Oh, it’s nothing,” I muttered under my breath.
“Hey,” Caleb said.
“Hi,” I replied with a friendly smile.
I already missed him. I wanted him to hold me to hug me. I had felt safe in his arms that night, and I wanted to feel that way again, I thought to myself.
“Lucy,” Caleb said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“Sorry,” I said quickly. “It’s been a long day, and I’m just really tired.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” he said softly. “I just brought you some food and flowers. I figured you must be exhausted.”
He smiled. “I’ll be leaving now. Have a good rest.”
