KATHERINE'S POV
I went to get the girls just as Miss Margo had instructed, but when I got to their nursery, I didn't find them there.
I thought at first that their attending nurse had come to take them for checkup before discharge because it was a private nursing room. She was the only one who had access to the room aside from me and Miss Margo, so I went to look for her.
"Sorry, please excuse me, uhm..." I said to the nurse.
"Yes, do you need any help with something? Are the twins alright?" She asked, leaving me stunned.
"Are they not with you?" I asked.
"No, I left the nursery more than twenty minutes ago." She said, checking her watch.
'This is not okay.' I whispered to myself. "Uhm, they are not in their nursery right now. Does anyone else have access to that room aside from you?"
"Yes, yes, the doctor who delivered them and my assisting nurse."
"Could you help me find out if the girls are with any of them?" I asked frantically.
"Sure, sure, I'm on it." She said, picking up a telephone close to her desk.
"Tina, Tina, okay, do you by chance know where the kids at room three, three, eight are?" She said through the phone, waiting for a response.
"Okay, is Doctor Lopez still at work?...... Okay, you know what? I need you to go check the surveillance for that room and the surveillance surrounding that room." She said, hanging up the phone.
"Ma'am, I am sorry, but the girls are not with my assistant, and Doctor Lopez is out of work."
"At what time did he leave?" I asked, panicked.
"Exactly twenty minutes ago, Ma'am." She replied.
"Pull up every surveillance from exactly twenty minutes ago and get them to ward three, one, eight." I said with a very serious tone the nurse flinched.
"I would need you to calm down, ma we are looking into it already." She added as I walked away.
"Coner, Diego, Davis," I called into my walkie-talkie.
"I need you guys to mobilise search squads, the young misses has been kidn*pped, I need you to lock down every road linking to the hospital, I need you guys to track down every vehicle that has been passing through those road from twenty minutes ago up to this moment, do whatever it takes to find the young misses. Search every vehicle passing there and make sure no one leaves your sight without a thorough search." I said as I ran to Miss Margo's ward.
"Ma'am there is a problem." I said as soon as I entered the ward.
"What is it? and where are the girls?" She asked frantically.
"The girls..." I said, stuttering, not knowing how to get the words out.
"They are missing." The words came out fast.
"I have enabled the search team...." I was saying when she collapsed.
"Doctor, nurse, someone help." I shouted as a male doctor and a nurse passing by came to check and carried her to the bed.
In that same moment, Gerrit walked into the with a smile.
"Margo? Margo." He called out, seeing her on the bed unconscious.
"What happened to her?" He asked if it was due to birth exhaustion.
*sighs*
"No, Gerrit... the girls, they are gone." I said at the verge of tears.
"What do you mean gone? Where could they have possibly gone to?" He joked.
*sobs*
"They were taken." I said as the tears finally spilt out.
"Ahhh, good one, Katherine. You must have prepared this show just to see my reaction. Where are the cameras? I bet Margo is just faking being unconscious." He said as he walked toward the bed.
Before I could say a word, the nurse who was working on the surveillance walked in
"Uhm Ma'am we've gotten the fottage." She said.
"Let me see." I said as I took the tab from her, wiped my face, and watched the video.
"Is that...?" My eyes widen at the sight.
