“What is it?” I asked, my voice barely audible. I leaned in slightly, a strange curiosity welling up inside me. Lucas’s eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, we were both silent. It felt as if he could see into my soul, knowing all my desires and fears. My throat tightened as I wondered what to say next. Lucas hesitated, his gaze burning like fire. “It’s just… when I look at you, it’s like I’m remembering something important.” His voice was almost drowned out by the hum of the bar. My heart pounded in my chest as I reached out and gently brushed his fingers. His skin was warm and inviting, sending a shiver down my spine. Lucas’s eyes fell on our hands, and after a moment of hesitation, he spoke. “I can’t stop thinking about that kiss,” he said softly. My throat tightened, and a mix of relief and excitement surged through me. I had been thinking about it all week too. I glanced at him, studying his face. His expression was serious, his eyes intense as they bore into mine. His words brought me a strange comfort, and I knew I had to be honest with him. “Me too,” I said, my voice barely a whisper. “It’s been on my mind all week, like an addiction.” Lucas’s eyes softened as he looked at me, and I could feel that he shared my feelings. He reached out again, gently tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. “Since the moment we met, I’ve been drawn to you,” he said softly. His words made my heart flutter, and a smile tugged at my lips. “Then let’s see what happens next,” he said quietly, his eyes never leaving mine. My heart raced as Lucas leaned in, his soft lips gently brushing against mine. The kiss was soft and gentle, yet it stirred a thrilling wave of excitement in my blood. The pleasure I felt in his touch left me with a strange sense of guilt in my heart. I knew that this connection between us was forbidden, but I couldn't help myself. I wanted him. Lucas's lips pressed against mine, and I felt a tremor run down my spine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. His tongue slipped into my mouth, and I couldn't help but moan softly, lost in the pleasure of his touch. Images of Mark flashed through my mind, along with the harm he had caused me. But this time was different. This felt right. When we parted, Lucas whispered, “I want to see you again.” His eyes were filled with sincerity, and my heart fluttered at his words. I hesitated, pondering what to say next. I knew seeing him again would only complicate things, but I couldn’t help myself. I wanted him so much. “I’d like that,” I finally said, my voice barely audible. Lucas’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he stared at me. At that moment, I knew there was no turning back. I arrived at the park early, my heart pounding in my chest. I had been looking forward to this moment all week, but now that it was here, I felt a strange sense of nervousness. What were we doing? Since our kiss last weekend, Lucas and I had barely spoken, but the connection between us still lingered. I looked around, wondering if he had arrived yet. I saw him sitting on a bench under a large oak tree, and my heart skipped a beat. He looked up, our eyes met, and a wave of excitement washed over me. I walked towards him, feeling a strange tension building inside me. As I reached the bench, he stood up and smiled gently at me. “Hey,” he said in a low, husky voice. “Hey,” I replied with a smile. We stood there, gazing at each other, as if time had stopped. Lucas’s eyes shone with warmth as he looked at me, but there was also a hint of unease. He reached out again, gently tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. I smiled softly at him and then sat down on the bench. Lucas hesitated for a moment before sitting beside me. He took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the ground. “I have something to tell you,” he said quietly, his voice barely audible. I turned to face him, my heart racing, sensing the weight of his words. “What is it?” I asked softly. The air was still, the only sound the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze. I sensed he had something to say but was hesitant. I waited quietly for him to speak, my heart pounding in my chest. “I have something to tell you,” he finally said. His voice was low and serious, sending a chill down my spine. “What is it?” I asked again, my voice barely above a whisper. Lucas took a deep breath before he spoke. “I am your new professor,” he said softly. My eyes widened in shock, staring at him intently. I had suspected this, but hearing it from him left me utterly stunned. I didn’t know what to say or how to react. Each of his words sent ripples of fear and excitement through me, making the situation more complicated than I had imagined. Lucas’s eyes were full of sincerity as he gazed at me, and I could feel that he shared the same emotions. “I know this isn’t ideal,” he said quietly, “but I can’t stay away from you.” Before I could respond, a squirrel darted over and stopped at our feet. Its sudden appearance broke the tension, and we both laughed, understanding that we were stepping into an uncertain yet undeniable reality.
