As a staff member walked by, they overheard the conversation and glanced over in disbelief.
Tina cleared her throat softly, "Is it for Sister?"
"Yes," Bodi realized, "Sister, have an orange."
The staff member shook their head, thinking they must have misheard, as it seemed impossible for Bodi to be Tina's child.
Tina breathed a sigh of relief, "Good thing it wasn't discovered."
Bodi, worried that Tina might mind the slip, said softly, "Even if it's discovered, it's okay. Bodi will protect Mommy."
"Yes, Bodi is a good child." Tina patted Bodi's head, then turned to Colvin, "Mr. Colvin, Ms. Connor will arrive in half an hour."
Because Ms. Connor has a scene.
Colvin replied indifferently, "What does that have to do with me?"
