"There's no nanny taking care of me."
Colvin's mom was shocked, "You're home alone, with no one to care for you?"
"I don't need anyone to take care of me," the little one declared matter-of-factly.
"Child, you're only three years old, left alone at home by your mommy. That's too pitiful. Grandma will take you home," Colvin's mom said, her heart aching as she reached for Bodi's hand to leave.
But Bodi refused, "This is my home."
"Come to Grandma's house. Grandma will cook you yummy food and there are tons of toys," Colvin's mom coaxed, truly distressed. "You're so young; it's too dangerous to be alone at home."
Bodi scrunched up his little brows, thought for a moment, and said, "Okay, but I need to call Mommy first, or she'll be worried."
