“Good call.” Tina picked up the dish Colvin had set down, “I'll heat this up. Make yourself at home, Mr. Colvin.”
She really didn't want to deal with this man anymore, but unfortunately, he was the boss.
“Daddy.” Left alone in the living room, little Bodi looked at the man with hopeful eyes, “Can I have some pocket money?”
Colvin glanced towards the kitchen, lowering his voice, “Your mommy doesn't give you any?”
“Nope.” Bodi replied, fidgeting with his fingers, “Mommy says three-year-olds don't need pocket money and that I'd just spend it all at once.”
“Spend it all at once?”
“Yeah, like the first time I met you, I snuck out by myself.”
For some reason, little Bodi had no defenses against this handsome daddy, blurting out the truth without hesitation.
