"If I go to Aurora Marketing, it'll be like falling under her surveillance again. I'm so sick of living like this," Oktober sobbed harder. "It's not Kevin's fault. I just can't get along with my mom, and I can't exactly go toe-to-toe with her."
Every family has its skeletons, and Tina couldn't truly empathize, so she offered the usual comfort, "Your mother is just concerned about you. Talk to her nicely, and it'll be fine."
"I'll try, even though I've tried several times already." Oktober wiped her tears away. "I won't be able to work with you anymore."
Tina let out a soft chuckle, "We're both actors, so we're still colleagues."
"When I have free time, can I come over to play with Bodi? I really love kids, especially ones as adorable as Bodi." Oktober seemed to regain some energy.
