Chapter 2 Take off Your Clothes Now!

These hands are elegantly long, with delicate fingers. They surely don't belong to someone accustomed to housework. Definitely they don't belong to Rose! Simon glanced at her coldly, said nothing, and turned to leave, heading straight into the interview room. Sherry shrugged and idly touched her nose. She already knew that Simon didn't like being touched by others, otherwise, she wouldn't have reached out to him. "You look like someone!" The baby-faced girl in front suddenly turned around, looked at Sherry up and down, and said with a frown, "Like a celebrity, but I can't recall who right now!" "You're thinking of Rose Snow, right?" Sherry admitted readily, "She's my older sister. I'm her twin, so we naturally look alike." "Yes, yes! I'm Mindy Austin," the baby-faced girl nodded quickly, "You really do look alike! My younger brother is a huge fan of hers. Can you help me get her autograph?" Sherry showed a look of regret, spreading her hands, "I'd love to help you, but she passed away four years ago." "What?! How did she die? That can't be true. My brother will go crazy when he hears this!" Mindy's mouth dropped open in disbelief, her eyes turning red as if she might cry. "I'm very sad too. It took me four years to get over it. My sister's biggest regret was not becoming a global star. I think I can help fulfill that wish for her." Sherry spoke nonchalantly, but her expression was serious, leaving the young girl momentarily speechless. Women all around them let out scoffing laughter. Some third-rate models, bolstered by their minor fame, spoke with more venom, "Even if Rose hadn't died, she'd be out of fashion by now. They used to say she got famous by sleeping with Simon. Are you planning to do the same?" "I'll give your suggestion some serious thought." Sherry smiled slightly. Her demeanor was far from that of a married woman, but rather like a confident star, exuding charm with every move. The crowd scoffed at her words, thinking even if Simon went crazy, he wouldn't sleep with a married woman with a child. Tommy's eyes widened as he stared in the direction of Simon, "Mama, that person is so handsome, even more than daddy." Sherry nodded, knowing that in Zimloy, if Simon's appearance were second, no one would dare claim first. Back then, wasn't it just this handsome face that Rose fell for? Who knew this person would be callous by nature, discarding her once he'd slept with her? Perhaps because Simon had arrived, the long queue moved quickly, with some interviewees being sent out in tears within three seconds. Those who didn't fit the image wouldn't get a second glance from Simon. Sherry held her prepared performance piece, and as the line shortened, sweat began to bead on her forehead. Tommy sensibly took out his small handkerchief and handed it to his mother, "Don't be nervous. That young man looks very kind. He won't be mean to you." "..." Is this what they call the innocence of a child's words? No matter how you look at it, Simon doesn't seem kind at all! Sherry shook her head with a smile, handed her sunglasses to Tommy, instructed him to wait quietly on the side, took a deep breath, and gently placed her hand on her stomach, which was wracked with pain. But she couldn't leave; she had endured for four years just for this day. Simon Miller, your reckoning has arrived! "Already 24 years old, huh? Starting a career at this age is a bit late... ah!" The director in the meeting room looked at Sherry's resume and showed apparent dissatisfaction. However, the moment he looked up, he let out a gasp and instinctively blurted out, "Rose Snow!" Simon sat silently on the side, his gaze never leaving Sherry. "Director, it's Sherry Snow. You've mistaken me," Sherry said with a composed smile, seemingly not surprised by the mistaken identity, "I'm her sister." "You two look so alike!" the director marveled, "Rose was such a promising talent back then, and then she vanished without a trace. It's such a pity... The lead role for this drama is already set, but there's a second female role. Why don't you try it out?" Sherry was well aware of the rules of the entertainment industry and never expected to land a lead role upon her return. "Then I'll perform a scene where the second female lead is filled with resentment after being abandoned by her unfaithful husband." The director nodded, but before he could say anything, Sherry abruptly fell to the ground in front of him. When she lifted her face, her eyes were already brimming with tears, "No, don't go. Everything I've done is because I love you. I don't believe you don't love me anymore. I don't believe it!" Everyone glanced at their scripts, realizing that the original lines weren't quite like these, but they weren't far off. "I'm already tired of you, you selfish woman, never considering my feelings. You ruined Lambert's family! Leave immediately!" An assistant holding the script read the lines, his hands trembling uncontrollably. These dialogues were very similar to Rose's monologue to Simon! "Huh, didn't I do all this because I love you? But once you got what you wanted, you didn't cherish it! You want to drive me away, pay me off, and pursue your so-called love! But what about me?" Sherry clutched her chest tightly, tears like raindrops falling to the ground, vividly bringing the character to life. "I will never forgive you! Never!" The heart-wrenching cries echoed from the room to the hallway, leaving both the lobby and the meeting room in complete silence. The director stared blankly at the woman in front of him, then suddenly stood up and applauded vigorously, "Excellent! Your energy and intensity are amazing, even better than your sister's acting! The second female role is yours..." "Wait a moment." Sherry's previously raised smile instantly fell, her gaze landing on Simon, her eyelids involuntarily twitching, "Mister Miller, what's wrong?" Simon slowly stood up, his long strides taking a few steps to reach her. His deep, cold eyes scrutinized Sherry, pressing down on her until she couldn't breathe, his gaze penetrating her collar, "Take off your clothes." "Wha... what?" Sherry instantly clenched her hands, her knuckles turning white. "Take off your clothes!" Simon never repeated his words. The people around didn't dare to make a sound. Why would someone need to take off their clothes during a proper audition? This request from Mr. Miller was a bit too outrageous. Sherry suddenly burst into laughter, looking at Simon with seductive eyes, "Mr. Miller, if you want me to take off my clothes, shouldn't we do it slowly in your room? There are too many people here..." "Now!" Simon's expression turned dark, and the words from his lips carried no emotion. Sherry clenched her fists tightly, glanced at the expressions of everyone in the room, then her expression softened slightly as she gently unbuttoned the first button of her shirt. Her smooth neck was exposed to everyone, her delicate, fair skin accentuating the blush on her cheeks, causing the men in the room to swallow hard. Simon's gaze darkened, but his expression became even more unpleasant, "Continue!" "Mr. Miller, you're quite wild." Sherry shrugged nonchalantly, unbuttoning the second button without hesitation, then the third... The lace-trimmed underwear was faintly visible, and just as the men behind were about to stand up for a better look, their view was completely blocked by Simon. Before anyone could gasp, they saw Simon take off his jacket and drape it over Sherry's head, wrapping her up tightly. Inside the clothes, Sherry coldly curled her lips, her red lips parted slightly with a lazy allure, provocatively asking, "Mr. Miller, why aren't you looking? Am I not your type?" "Ugly." Simon said expressionlessly. "..." Simon Miller! When did you get such a taste? Sherry ranted in her mind, and the next moment, in the complete darkness, she was pulled by Simon, his arm around her shoulder, leading her out of the audition room.
