Chapter eight
"Are you okay?". She simply asked.
"You talked back to Mrs winter, I thought you stopped that".
He said nothing and looked away from her.
"J. C'mon I'm your best friend, we all are. You can talk to me okay?.". She placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine just a bit stressed, aside that I'm cool". He said, she looked at him raising her brow.
"Really ". He answered her unspoken question.
"If you insist, but just so you know, I'm always here for you all right buddy?". He nodded.
"Come on, let's go". She said standing up and pulling him up with her.
"I don't wanna learn anymore". He complained and she laughed.
"Me too, but now I'm responsible for you". She smirked.
"Yeah, that helps ". He said sarcastically and they started going back to class.
They were in the hallway when Leo saw them together, he deeply frowned, glaring at Jace from the distance. He quickly walked over to jennie.
"Oh hey Leo". She smiled at him, he gave her a smile too.
"I'll see you later". Jace muttered and walked again, Jennie stared at his retreating figure.
"Hey what's wrong ". Leo asked when she didn't stop looking at Jace.
"It's nothing, I just wish I knew what's going on in his head, sometimes he's just so closed off, I don't get it".
"Maybe you should give him time and a little space to figure things in his own". Leo said.
"You're right, he'll come around". She nodded.
"Meanwhile". Leo started grabbing her shoulders gently and turning her to face him, staring into her eyes.
"What?". She chuckled.
"You've been spending too much time with your friends, you've forgotten about me". He frowned.
"Of course not".
"Well then prove it". He smirked.
"Okay.......... How much I treat you to dessert at Lakers". Jennie suggested.
"A date it is then". Leo grinned.
"Whatever you call it, you choose the time".
"7pm, I'll pick you up".
Okay my address is.......".
"I know where you live". Jennie blinked.
"Should I be worried you're stalking me?".
"Of course not, see you tonight darling". He said and ran off immediately.
"What the..... darling?, Oh my gosh". She did a mini jump and started walking to class.
Her eyes first fell on Jace who was listening to whatever Rafael was saying, she went to Chelsea who was recording their scores.
"Hey babe". She greeted turning her chair backwards to face Chelsea.
"Where have you been, you left immediately after biology". Chelsea asked.
"I went to see Jace, then I met Leo on our way back". Chelsea nodded and continued her work. She would have gone to see Jace if she hadn't been tied up to her work.
"Oh and we have a date tonight". Jennie remembered.
"Who?".
"Leo obviously". Jennie grinned.
"Whatever".

Chelsea came out of the restroom, carried her bag and was leaving when someone grabbed her and dragged her into the Janitor's closet.
"Hey let go of me you psycho.....". She began screaming but the person covered her mouth before she could finish.
"Olivia?".
"We meet again babe". Olivia smirked.
