The Unexpected Encounter As they rested in the safe house, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced around the room but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a young man with piercing blue eyes and a mischievous grin. "Who are you?" Lyra asked her hand on the hilt of her dagger. "My name is Eryndor," he replied, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I'm a skilled thief, and I've been hired to guide you through the city's hidden paths." The Hidden Paths Kael's eyes narrowed. "Why would you want to help us?" Eryndor shrugged. "Let's just say that I have my own reasons for wanting to see the prophecy fulfilled. Besides, I know the city's hidden paths like the back of my hand. I can get you to your destination undetected." Lyra hesitated, unsure of whether to trust Eryndor. But Kael seemed to sense her uncertainty and nodded. "Let's hear him out," he said. The Proposal Eryndor led them to a hidden entrance, a narrow alleyway that seemed to stretch on forever. "This path will take us to the city's underground tunnels," he explained. "We'll be able to move undetected and avoid the dark mages." Lyra felt a sense of excitement mixed with trepidation. She knew that the journey ahead would be fraught with danger, but with Eryndor's guidance, they might just have a chance to succeed. As they followed Eryndor through the winding tunnels, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced over her shoulder but saw nothing but shadows. The Tunnel's End After what felt like hours of walking, Eryndor stopped at a small door. "This leads to the next member of your group," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Are you ready?" Lyra nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that the journey ahead would be challenging, but she was determined to see it through to the end. With a deep breath, Eryndor opened the door, revealing a figure shrouded in shadows. Lyra's heart skipped a beat as the figure stepped forward, revealing a young woman with striking red hair. "Welcome," the woman said, her voice husky and confident. "I've been waiting for you." Lyra felt a sense of wonder as she gazed at the woman. Who was she, and what role would she play in the prophecy? The New Ally The young woman with striking red hair stepped forward, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "My name is Lirien," she said, her voice husky and confident. "I'm a skilled healer, and I've been waiting for you." Lyra felt a sense of relief wash over her. A healer would be invaluable on their journey, and she was grateful to have Lirien on their side. Lirien's eyes scanned the group, and she nodded in approval. "I see we have a good mix of skills. Let's get moving. We don't have much time." The Plan Eryndor nodded, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I know a safe route to the next member of the group. Follow me." The group set off, following Eryndor through the winding tunnels. Lyra felt a sense of determination growing within her. They were making progress, and she was confident that they would succeed. As they walked, Lirien fell into step beside Lyra. "What's your story?" she asked, her eyes curious. Lyra smiled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with the young healer. "I'm Lyra," she said. "I'm the Oracle, and I've been tasked with guiding this group to prevent a great disaster." Lirien's eyes widened in understanding. "I see," she said. "I've heard rumors of the Oracle's power. It's an honor to fight alongside you." The Danger Ahead As they continued on their journey, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced over her shoulder but saw nothing but shadows. Suddenly, Eryndor stopped, his head c****d to one side. "Do you hear that?" he whispered. Lyra listened, and soon she heard the faint sound of footsteps echoing through the tunnels. "It's coming from up ahead," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Kael's eyes narrowed. "Let's be careful," he said. "We don't know what's waiting for us up ahead." The group moved forward, their senses on high alert. Lyra felt a sense of tension building within her. What lay ahead? Would they be able to overcome the challenges that awaited them?
