The words sent a chill through the room, and I instantly sat up, every muscle in my body tensing. Luna was already reaching for Evie, pulling her close as her maternal instincts kicked in. “What do you mean, sweetheart?” Luna asked gently, stroking Evie’s hair. “There was a shadow,” Evie said, her wide eyes glistening with fear. “It was outside my window.
