The drive home was tense, my mind replaying everything Amanda had said. By the time I pulled into the driveway, the porch light was on, and through the window, I could see Luna pacing. She stopped when I walked in, her eyes locking onto mine. “Cain,” she said quietly, her voice laced with worry. “What happened?” I didn’t answer right away.
