FIVE YEARS LATER: My screams echoed through the walls, and the servants scurried to call the only person who could calm me down. A moment later, Midas hurried through the double doors and relief washed over me. He took a seat next to me, on the edge of the bed, and brought out the potions. They were the only thing keeping me sane and most times sedated whenever I had my terrible nightmares. I was dependent upon them; I needed them to sleep, and Midas was the only person who knew where to get them. He mixed the pink and blue ones, swirling them in the transparent bottle until they turned purple. I eagerly waited for him to hand the bottle over to me.
