I couldn’t understand why Michael was hesitant to go to the elders with me when he seemed so confident in what he believed about his father. It wasn’t as if the meeting with the elders was going to blame him for anything he didn’t do and it wasn’t as if e were going there to prove which parent was wrong in the whole dispute. I was just going there to know if what my mother had told me was the truth and if there was any truth to what the letters in the box said, as far as I was concerned, Michael had nothing to worry about.
