It seemed that ever since Fures dropped the bomb of the date Abigor and his army would be attacking, time had sped up tenfold. In addition to preparing for war, Aubrey and Broderick had since been working on ensuring Aubrey’s voice felt heard. Broderick was starting to realize how watching the way in which his father had treated his mother had influenced his unconscious thoughts and reactions towards women.
