Callum’s sixth birthday and all the boy claimed to want was to spend time with the twins.
Charlotte was no fool. She saw his game.
His eyes were constantly on Kaiya—even more so than her father’s. Charlotte never wanted to admit it, but she wouldn’t be surprised if there was something there. But, perhaps that’s just like a curse. She fell for Darrin at the same age and look where that got them.
But, it was Rose who said it initially and then again when the kids were two.
Time and separation through children had been the answer for keeping Charlotte and Darrin separated. Brady intervened as much as he could but after a while things were just normal.
Charlotte and Darrin could comfortably sit in a room together with everyone around and even exchange words.
