Chapter 3

When I woke up Lu wasn’t in bed and it’s dark here. I quickly went to his bathroom and washed my face, rinsed my mouth. After all that I went to my room and had a quick shower and wore my PJ’s since it’s already dark the headed down stairs only to find mom breathing fire yelling at dad about me being too young and if he continues with this I will kill you with my own bare hands, those were the things she kept saying. I walked closer when I reached them they stopped what they were doing and looked at me shocked or should I say scared that I might have heard something that I shouldn’t have heard.

Me: uh mom do you know where Lu is?

Mom: no he left in a hurry and hour ago. Are you hungry?

Me: uh yeah I’ll make myself something to eat then head to sleep. Uh how was your day Daddy ( I said that trying to ease the tension and he is too quiet for my liking.)

Dad: it was all good baby I’ll go to my room now daddy is a little tired. Have a good night my angel.

Me: good night Dad.

I went to the kitchen and made myself sandwich I’m not up for greasy food today and headed back to my room. I couldn’t shake the feeling that mommy and daddy were fighting about me but I don’t know why and I want to know one way or another. I eat my sandwich while texting my friends on the group.

Phone conversation

Me: can anyone please suggest where we will go on Friday I really want to go and have fun.

Luna: as in only Friday?

A: yeah I can’t afford a weekend away right now.

Me: yeah only Friday. Do you know any place ?

Rato: my neighbour is hosting a party on Friday staring at 8pm till late so we can just go there.

Luna: well you will have to send me the details and the directions to your or we will come to your house after school and we will change at ur place.

Rato: cool we will discuss everything tomorrow guys I’ve to go now. Love you all?.

Me: sure I guess we are going to that place. Good night.

I switched my data off and charged my phone and slept. I woke up in the morning and bathed got ready for school then headed for breakfast and I am hungry. When I got there mom and dad were not talking to each other and dad kept stealing looks t his wife and mom was focusing on whatever she was doing. Lu was already eating while looking and our parents. I sit down and start dishing myself some toast with bacon and scrambled eggs with a glass of juice. I ate quietly and fast so I can leave for school.

Me: Lu can you take me to school when you are done.

Him: uh sure I’m done anyway so let’s go I don’t want to be late for work either so take you things and you’ll find me in the car.

Me: alright .

I went to my room and grabbed my school bag and phone and my headphones then off I go. Got in the car and he started the car and left. It felt so long this time around, he was too quiet and I just connected my phone and played music I will ask him later at home about Thanks and the baby. We got to school and he gave me lunch money iland I just hugged him and whispered in his ear “ it’s going to be okay. Don’t give up. I love you okay.” The I pulled out of the hug and he just smiled and said thank you. I left for school and I have to say it was really hard concentrating in class as I was thinking about my brother and the tension between mom and dad?.
