Him: okay if I see you with some guy trust me I’m going to kill that nigga. Now do you still want to do anything or should we just go home?

Me: no way I don’t want to see you like that again so I’ll just go home, I am a little tired so I’ve got to rest tomorrow I’m going to school remember?

Him: yeah I’ll be dropping you off this week after that you will figure it out shame.

Me: mcm ngzocela ubaba noma umamami angihambise. But before sihambe I need airtime bhuti wamiiiiii engimthandayo kakhulu. ( I’ll ask dad or mom to take me. But before we go I need airtime my brother that I love too much.)

Him: ha.a Mpilo hai ngeke. (No Mpilo No.)

Well I knew he would say that so now I have to play a bit to get it. I pulled my begging face he can never say no to me once I start if he tries acting strong I just pretend to cry and he falls for it every time??. And it worked.

Him: okay fine just stop that you look ridiculous doing that. How much do you want?

Me: Only R100 it’s small you see.

Him: Are you drunk? Where did you drink huh? I’m not buying it I’ll buy you R50.

Me: R100 or I’ll do that face again.

Him: I will never go with, today was the last time. I’ll but it.

Me: yaaaaay thank you now that’s what a big brother should do.

He started the car and we left. We got home and mom was just watching TV, I took my bags and put them in my room. Went back to where mom was.

Me: mom please give dad his card for me I have to prepare for school after that I’ll just sleep.

Mom: alright baby have you eaten?

Me: uhm yeah I did mom.

Her: right I know you didn’t so I’ll make you something to eat.

Me: no mom I’ll be okay I’m not hungry I got something from the mall. I love you alright now bye.

I kissed her cheek then rushed to my room, cleared all the shopping bags and ironed my school clothes and hanged them. After that I called Adrienne.

Me: hey babes I miss you. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

Her: I can’t wait to see you too love I really miss you friend. Tomorrow seems too far when it’s only just a few hours.

Me: haha yeah . Friend do you have Tokelo’s numbers?.

Her: uh yeah I think so. But why do you ask? I thought you didn’t like the guy.

Me: haha nothing like that I just wanted to ask him to help me through out this year. I’m still not interested in him.

Her: yeah right if you say so.

Me: well then please send it to me ok. Uh bye for now I’ll see you tomorrow. Lots of love babe.

Her: sure love I’ll see you then. I’ll send the number now. Love you.

I hung up and she did send the number, I saved it and put my phone on the charger and then went to sleep. Next thing I know I am being shaken a bit so I slowly try to open my eyes and my mom is waking me up telling me to go bath and get ready for breakfast. I woke and did just that and went for breakfast.

Lu: oh good you are here eat so we can go.

Me: sure and uh dad how are you today?

Dad: oh I am too good my angel, my little baby come sit on your daddy’s lap. I missed you yesterday and I’m sorry I worried you for nothing.

You don’t have to repeat that I jumped up and sat on his lap and kissed his cheek and gave him a hug.

Me: great daddy is okay now. I missed you too daddy.

Mom: okay now move from my husband and get your own young lady.

Me: oh mom please we both know I always come first to daddy and your second right daddy?

He just smiled and nodded, mommy rolled her eyes and all of us just busted to laughter, mom joined us and we all ate. My brother and I left for school and all the way he kept telling me that he doesn’t want me to have a boyfriend whatsoever. We reached my school and I got out after he gave me lunch money. When I walked around I spotted Julie and ran to hug her, guys I really missed my friends.

Julie: OMG I have missed you short ass.

Me: and you still call me that. I missed you too (we hugged again and Adrienne got to us and had a group hug)

A: and you are both looking beautiful girls. I missed you so much.
