Ruth's POV
"Grandpa, what is happening? What's going on?" Frank asked, sounding concerned as we went inside Charles' study. He'd been pacing anxiously that whole morning, and obviously, the stress had been weighing heavy in his mind.
Charles leaned back in his chair, an amused smile tugging at his lips. "Before we get into that," he started, his tone calm but with a deliberate tone, "I want to ask you something. Ruth, as Frank's partner at work, what's your honest opinion of him?"
I blinked, taken aback by the question. I looked at Frank, who raised an eyebrow in surprise. I opted for honesty. "Frank is… talented," I said, choosing my words with care. "He's one of the most dedicated people I've worked with. His drive and vision for the company are impressive."
Charles' grin broadened.
