Maya and I stood on a huge field. The ground was solid ice and a few feet away from us stood a woman. "Mother," Maya gasped, stepping forward but I grabbed her hand holding her back. I recognised the memory. "We're in the wrong memory," I whispered to Maya. "I know but my mother's alive," "It's only a memory," I reminded her. Maya looked at me.
