I burst into flames and all the ice melted. The gust of wind that erupted from me sent Maya flying against one of the wooden sticks. I felt warm as the heat travelled further and further through my body until my whole body was on fire.
Maya staggered to her feet. She had a cut on her lip and a deep gush on her stomach. I pushed away the feelings of guilt and sympathy that were slowly creeping their way into my heart. If I wanted to win this fight, I couldn't let my emotions get the best of me.
"Maya," Aysa whispered. The concern in his voice only fueled my anger. He didn't whisper my name with so much concern when Maya was strangling me with ice. Did he really not love me anymore?
