Sarani and Ruth were waiting anxiously in the foyer when we arrived. Sarani's jaw dropped open and tears filled her eyes as she stared at the veins on my bare arms. She hurried to pull me into her embrace and I savored her warmth.
"Grace would rip her hair out if she saw you like this," Sarani sniffled. I chuckled, burying my head further in her neck.
"I'm fine," I told her as I broke the hug.
"We'll just put our bags in our rooms and then I'll check on Sareeta," Soren spoke. He and Aysa left the rest of us in the foyer and hurried up the staircase.
The four of us settled in the living room. I sat by Maya while Sarani sat by Ruth.
