Chapter 16

Aaron POV

I don’t know what’s happening with me. I am feeling so restless from the day she came in my life. She created havoc in my calm mind. I didn’t even get proper sleep in these three days. Her thoughts are constantly running in my mind and Ashton is no help.

In fact he is creating naughty images of her in my mind so that I give up soon. Son of b***h!

I have blocked him from yesterday but he is constantly trying to come on the surface making my mind go crazy.

And today what I did in the college was so unusual of me. I never cared if anyone spoke ill about others. I never interfere in their matters unless it’s some serious issue concerning my pack.

But when that f*****g bastard spoke ill about my mate, I lost my mind. I wanted to tear him from limb to limb. Motherfucking bastard!

Flashback

As I was passing through the hallways to go to the canteen, I heard some conversation which made my blood boil and growled loudly. I only saw red after that.

“Oh God Nate, you should have watched the fight of yesterday. Man that was so hot. That new girl is a lioness in a tiny little body.”

“Really Harry, the whole i********: and f*******: is going wild with yesterday fights post. She was looking damn hot.”

“Yes she is a hot piece of ass. I am so going to screw her. I want to taste her. She looks innocent and sexy at the same time. I wanna f**k her so hard.”

“Do you think she will let you?”

“ That's why I have brain man. First I am going to befriend her by being a good boy and then ask her out. I'll play the role of gentleman some days and then move on the main plan. If she agrees to sleep with me, then it’s good. If not then you already know we have date-r**e drug. I’ll also let you have the taste of-

“Aaahhh!”

I didn’t let him finish his sentence as my strong fist collided with his nose. He fell on the ground creating pool of blood near his face.

Ashton started to crawl in my mind trying to take control and snap his neck and break his 206 bones one by one. But I am here for this. I was so angry that I am sure my eyes turned into peach black.

I growled at him. No one can speak ill about My Mate and get away with it. I looked at the other boy who seemed petrified and started to shake.

“Aar-o-n… I d- didn’t do anything..

He stuttered and ran off from there leaving his friend at my mercy.

I watched him with full disgust and lifted him by his throat only to throw him uh in away on the wall.

I started taking deep breaths trying to calm my anger which seems nowhere to reduce.

This motherfucker spoke dirty about my mate. I won’t spare him. I am going to tear him apart. I stormed towards his body which I threw on the locker wall. He was on the floor groaning in pain. I pulled him by his collar and grabbed his throat launching him midair.

“Dare you to say that. I WILL KILL YOU.” I growled loudly choking him to death. Just 10 seconds and he will be dead in my hands. I smirked.

But in this between I didn’t notice the pair of pretty hazel eyes which was staring at me with pure horror. I was so blinded by rage that I didn’t notice her presence and addicting scent in the air.

“Hey stop! What are you doing? Leave him.” I heard a scream and a soft touch on my arm.

My whole body stiffened as pleasurable tingles ran over my whole body. I got the current of 220 volts just from one mere touch from her. Damn f*****g mate bond!

I loosened my grip on that motherfucker and slowly set my dark eyes on her. There she is, in front of me holding my arm with scared expression on her face.

Holy Moon Goddess how f*****g beautiful she is. I want to stare at her for forever. Her eyes, her touch drives me crazy. Her divine scent invaded my nostrils making me almost groan at the feeling.

But…. Scared?

Is she scared of me? My eyes started to become more dark as I felt the dark aura surfacing in my brain.

Good! She should be scared of me. Fear me. That’s what I want. Fear in everyone’s eyes for me.

And this also applies to her. Mate or not you should be scared of me baby.

In a sudden moment I grabbed her shoulders harshly in my grip and slammed her roughly against the wall trapping her little body with my big one. She is so tiny.

“And who the hell are you to stop me? Hhh?” I spit my words harshly. My voice was dripping with anger. I want her to know who am I and what am I capable of. I don’t need her. My wolf don’t need her. We are better off without her. She should fear me.

“I-I….” she stammered loosing her voice maybe because of my anger. Her face paled even more and the rate of her heartbeats increased. I can smell the waves of fear rolling from her body. She is scared of me.

That’s what I want. I will make sure she stays out of my way. I don’t care if she’ll hate me. I will make sure to give her all the damn reasons to stay away from me.

“Listen here. Stay away from me Nisha. Don’t try to come close to me. You will regret it badly. Very badly.” I shouted releasing her shoulders from my painful grip. My heart ached as I saw the expressions of pain on her beautiful face.

I can’t see her in pain.

Oh shut up Aaron! She deserves that. She is the one who should be blamed for this. If she didn't come here in the first place, you would have been much happy in your life. It's her fault. Yes, only her fault.

I looked away from her and growl once again at that boy. Not being satisfied I again landed my foot on his stomach with force and stormed away from there.

Flashback end

I cracked my knuckles and a sigh escaped from my mouth. I am studying the files of new projects which are introduced to us for investing from last six hours without any break. Carter Corporation is the biggest Investment company in the whole America. So we always have the project proposals lined up. And dad wants me to handle that. Being the only heir of Carters, he never gave me privilege in the company. I had to work hard to achieve what I have now and going to get in few months, the position of CEO of our company. So I need to make proper and profitable decisions.

And above that the pack duties and a new arising problem in the form of mate. Geez! Can’t a guy get a break?

I stood up and walked towards the window. I glanced at my watch. It was already 10:30 pm. It seems I forgot the track of time. It was time for guards to change the patrolling duty.

I think I should also go for a run. I am feeling guilty for not letting Ashton take control from two days. But I was scared of him taking control and run towards her.

So I blocked him. I know I am being unfair to him but I have my reasons.

'Yeah the stupidass reasons' ashton sarcastically replied.

I rolled my eyes and get out of my office. I am planning to go for a long run where I can even inspect the patrolling and get Ashton's mind from his precious mate at least for a while.

Nisha pov

I was in the balcony practicing the tunes of my guitar when I heard some rustling near the woods as my balcony was facing the woods. I stood up and moved towards the railing. I again heard the rustling and a white rabbit came in the view. He was so cute and tiny. I always liked the rabbits. I even sneak out one inside of my frock to my house when I was child because dad didn't want me to take him. He lived with me for 2 months and then he fell ill. Dad consoled me that he needed a proper medical treatment so I have to leave him at the infirmary itself. I cried so much almost every unless dad brought me a stuffed rabbit. He said he didn't want me to have pet animal because I get attached to anything very easily. You speak some good words with me and I'll be mushy in your hands. That's why I don't make many friends. Cause once I made someone my friend, I'll never be able to let go that friend.

Ooops got distracted from the rabbit! Silly me. I giggled.

I watched that rabbit as he wonder there around the bushes and suddenly ran away. I frowned. I want to see that rabbit more and play with it. If got a chance I can bring it to my room. No one will know. Yeah let's go.

I descended the stairs and opened the backdoor of the house which was facing the lounge and the pool.Surprisingly there were no fencing around the area.I remember uncle told me about wild animals wondering in the forest.

Weird.

Anyway. I moved further into the woods going towards the direction where I saw that rabbit going. But stopped abruptly. The forest looks dark and dense. I have Nyctophobia. Phobia of darkness. I cannot stay more than a minute in a dark place. I get panic attacks.

I gulped and searched for my mobile. Damn! I didn't bring it. I took deep breath and stared at the sky. The light from moon and stars is enough to see around the woods. The desire to see that rabbit is too high so I cannot back off and I am too lazy to go back and bring mobile or torch. So I again took a deep breath and moved further into the woods.

Relax Nisha. It's only for some time. You just have to find that rabbit and bring it with you. That's it. It will only take few minutes. Nothing to worry. Yeah!

The sound of crickets in the calm night is clearly noticable. I heard the sound of water running as if there is any stream around the area. I moved further getting through the bushes to find the rabbit. I didn't find it but instead I saw a beautiful clearing with different beautiful flowers and grass surrounding it. The fireflies were glowing everywhere adding four moons in the beauty. the clearing was facing a stream of clear water. It was so mesmerizing. The thought of rabbit long forgotten in my mind.

I took off my slippers and stepped on the soft grass which has dewdrops because of the chilled weather. I sat there staring at the beautiful view. It is breathtakingly beautiful. The stars and moon rested in the arms of the dark sky and lightening the whole area with a soft glow.

Cool breeze hit me making me shiver. I forgot to wear any warm clothes before stepping out of the house. I was just in my comfy pajama cotton shirt and shorts. The cool air was making my hairs fly in front of my face. I tucked the strands behind my ears and looked towards the sky where the two most brightening stars rested near each other. That must be them. My Ma and Papa. How lucky are the people who still has their parents with them or at least have one with them. Me? I lost both. I am just an orphan. Whenever I asked papa where my Ma is, he would always say that she went to God's home. I always asked why and he would say that because God also needs love and care. So he always calls those people who has most love and care within them. He would always say that whenever I miss her, I should always watch the most brightening star. It's her. So I wouldn't feel lack of mother again. And it used to work. Whenever I was sad, I used to go to my balcony and talk with her for hours. Now I can also watch my Papa with Ma. A lone tear escaped my eyes. I wiped it and smiled at the sky.

"I am fine Ma and Papa. Colton uncle and Aunt treats me very nicely. They are good people. Don't worry about me. I am your strong baccha. I won't cry."

I was busy admiring the beautiful stars when I heard the loud sound of thumping on the ground. I quickly stood up as that thumping of heavy foots got near me. But it suddenly stopped. Was it my illusion?

But no it was not!

As I glanced at the woods, I came face to face with a silver colored huge animal. His eyes were pure golden as if made of pure gold and was almost glowing brightly. Is it a wolf? The realization hit me. A wolf as in real. I never saw a real wolf. Just on animal planet.

I was scared to say would be an understatement.

Oh God! Did you just brought me here only to be eaten by this huge scary animal? Please save me!

He let out a low scary growl. I jumped hearing his growl and the way his cannies began to show.

He started taking steps towards me. I fought the urge to scream and run. I took a step back holding my breath not breaking eye contact with it for once. He looks feral.

Just as he moved fast towards me, suddenly a scream left my lips and I started running for my dear life while screaming like a maniac. But that wolf growled loudly and came in front of me in less than a second blocking my way. He growled so loudly that I felt the earth beneath me shook.

I whimpered and kept glued on my spot not moving an inch afraid of it might pounce on me.

Please don't kill me! Please don't kill me! I don't want to become its feast. I am too young to die and that too in the hands of a dangerous carnivorous. If it kills me, my friends won't even get my proper body for my funeral. Oh God! what am I thinking?

I shook my head and closed my eyes praying to God.

For a good two minutes, I didn't hear anything. Not even the sound of crickets and other small animals. It's as if everyone is scared of this huge creature.

I slowly opened my left eye to see that wolf was circling me with his predatory eyes. He circled me as if scrutinizing its prey before pouncing on it. I opened my eyes fully when it stood in front of me. That’s when I realized exactly how big he is. It was nothing what I saw on animal planet. He was so huge like freaking huge. He towered above my height. I never thought a wolf could be this bigger. All I saw on animal planet was wolves as tall as dogs. He looked buff and so strong. And his cannies…… they were looking like they can tear my flesh apart just in one bite.

He came near me and nudged at my hand. I bit my lips to stop myself from screaming and crying. My whole body was literally shaking with fear. I felt a drop of sweat trickle down my nape to my back. I was sweating profusely. He bend towards my left hand and touched my palm with his wet snout and started sniffing me.

Now he looks like a puppy not like a scary lethal wolf. He was wiggling his tail still nudging at my hand . A harsh breath left past my lips as I felt he's not here to eat me. I didn’t get what he was exactly trying to do. So I slowly raise my other hand and hesitantly placed it on his head. He didn’t make any move so I started patting his head like we do to our pet animal. He let out a weird noise.

Did he just purred?

That sound was so funny. I giggled and resumed patting him. He started to mewl and purr still wiggling his tail.

I giggled and crouched down. He also sat on his paws and started licking my face.

Now that was yuck!

“Hey no no stop. Yuck!” I said scooting little away from him.

He again let out a weird noise and came towards me.

“No. No. No licking ok?” I told him raising my hand.

He again let out a weird noise as if he was complaining. His face looked sad.

I rested my hand on his neck and started caressing him. I didn’t know wolves are this friendly. Maybe he is an exception. He mewled and again started licking my cheek.

I made a face and wiped the saliva from my cheek with back of my hand.

He flashed me his wolfy teeths. His cannies are so sharp and white. They look more whiter than my teeth. He again started wiggling his tail and barked at me.

“What?”

He again barked looking towards my lap.

“What? Do you want to sit here?” I asked him pointing at my lap unsure of whether he can understand my language or not. He moved his head up and down as if saying yes.

“oh ok, you can little wolf” as soon as I said those words he growled at me. I looked at him startled.

“ok I am sorry Mr big wolf.” I raised my hands in the air. He clearly understands my language.

“First let’s go there.” I said to him pointing towards the direction of the clearing.

He barked and looked at me and started running towards the direction. I laughed and started running behind him.

We reached the clearing and he moved his body facing me.

I moved towards him and sat down facing the clear water. He came and laid his body on my lap. God he is so heavy. He rested his head on my lap and faced my side.

He looks much cuter like this.

“You are soo cute.” I giggled scratching his sides. He looks unharmed. Like a cute puppy.
