Chapter 13

Nisha POV

Today I am gonna get late if I didn’t increase the speed of my car. When I went to the cafe it was very busy even at 8am. So I got late.

I reached the campus and parked my car. I got out hastily and started walking towards building. If I got late, Mrs kane will really give me detention. I saw yesterday when a student was only 60 seconds late still she scolded him in front of the whole class and gave him detention. And I don’t want detention so soon.

Still 10 minutes left to start the lecture so I went towards my locker and kept my books for first two lectures in my backpack.

“Nisha Wait!” I heard a loud voice calling me. I turned and saw Ahana running towards me in excitement. I put my backpack in front of me just for safety in case she runs into me.

“Found you.” She exhaled.

As I watched her, she looks different today. She was wearing a white sweater tucked in a cream colored skirt with thigh high socks and hairs cascading down in waves. She looked pretty.

“Are you free after college?” she asked me.

“Um yeah I don’t have anything to do.” I told her skeptically.

“That’s great! So it’s decided we are going for some sight seeing today. Since you are new here, I’ll show you around the city. What’s say?” she asked excitedly.

“Um Ok. Beside I don’t have anything to do today” I replied and we started walking towards our class as we both have the same class.

“So that’s why the new look?” I asked her.

“Yes and no! I mean yes it is partly for that. Um I-actually I have a date today. I- me-mean it’s not a date like date.It’s like a hangout.I’ll introduce you to him. He is nice and from another college.” She stumbled on her words.

“Oh so that’s why this sight seeing excuse? If you have a date then I don’t want to be the third wheel. I am fine by myself.” I chuckled.

“N-No it’s not date. Just friendly dinner.” She blushed.

“Of course. That’s why you are blushing.” I raised my eyebrows.

“L-lets go. We are getting late.” She changed the subject quickly and I laughed.

As we climb the stairs, my eyes got connected with the icy blue ones. I knew whom this eyes belong to. He was staring at me with surprise. He was with Noah and Samantha and two other students. As I moved ahead to go past him to my class, I didn’t see someone putting his leg in my way so before I get to dodge it, I tripped over it and fall on my front. Luckily my head didn’t hit the floor as I balanced myself on my hands but my legs got hurt.

“Nisha!” Ahana screamed.

I heard the laughter beside me and the foot that tripped me. It belongs to that girl whose father is a trustee I think. She was with her minions like yesterday. “Awww what happened little girl? can’t see properly?” she mocked with her cheap smirk while others laughed.

Calm down Nisha. Don’t create any scene. Remember you have to spend your first year of college without breaking anyone’s bone. So relax. It’s ok. They are fools.

“ Nisha, are you ok?” Ahana asked and helped me to stand up.

“Are you hurt?” She asked with concern.

“No I am fine.” I said while dusting my clothes.

“ Listen here Nisha, if you are gonna stay with this b***h, I am going to make your life living hell. So it’s your choice.Otherwise we won’t mind another body to beat.” That girl I forgot her name smirked.

“Hailey please leave her alone. What she did to you guys? Please leave her.” Ahana pleaded them.

I just glared at her for begging. But she clearly ignored me and kept on convincing them to leave us alone. My eyes fell on Aaron and he looked at me in somewhat disappointment. He rolled his eyes and scurried away from there. I was confused why he looked at me like that.

My attention again fell on those fools. I rolled my eyes and eyed my watch. Oh s**t! We are gonna late.

“Shut up b***h. If you make anyone your friend, you and your friend will suffer from our wrath. You know-

“Ahana leave this. Let’s go. We are getting late.” I interrupted and dragged her with me to our class clearly ignoring their curses from behind.

“I am sorry Nisha. Because of me, they did that to you.” Ahana said sadly.

“For God’s sake, it’s not your fault. They are fools. Forget about them.” I told her and squeezed her hand assuring her.

She smiled and we entered our class 60 seconds early.

Lunch came quicker than I realized. I scanned the surrounding. My eyes searching for something or rather someone.

I don’t know why I even bother to see him. He is no one. But still I wanted to see him.He was sitting with his friends. He was sitting quietly but his irritation didn’t go unnoticed by me. When Noah’s eyes fell on me I quickly averted my eyes and started walking in another direction.

We took our respective seats and started eating while making small talks. We discussed about our likes and dislikes and surprisingly we both have almost same likes. I am glad that I chose to be friends with her. She is fun and easy going girl with whom I can hold long conversations. She reminds me of Aliya. Though their personalities are different but they are easy going and understanding.

Oh God how much I miss my friends. Apparently Manik is very angry with me for coming here. It was Aliya and Aahan who convinced him but still he is giving me cold shoulder. He is not even picking my calls. I don’t even know if he is going to wish me on my birthday which is coming soon.

“Nisha? Back to earth. Where are you lost?” Ahana waved her hand in front of my eyes.

“No nothing” I sighed.

“Rea-

“ So when are we going for your date?” I interrupted her.

“For the millionth time I am telling you it’s not a date. And we are going direct from college.” She sighed slumping her head on the table.

“Sure. If you say so..” I grinned at her.

“You-

She didn’t complete what she was saying and widened her eyes staring behind me. I frowned and looked behind me to see that guy Luke coming towards us with his food tray along with his friends. I rolled my eyes and looked back at our lunch. What’s this guy’s problem? Can’t they stay without bullying others?

He reached out to our table and placed his tray on the table loudly.

“Hey fellas today I am gonna sit with you. You know for giving you company.” He grinned widely. I looked at him suspiciously.

“B..but yo-

“Come on Ahana, how could you refuse to your ex- boyfriend? We also want to join you. Can't we?” Hailey asked and took ahana’s apple taking its bites.

“Of course we can.” Other boy chimed in sitting beside me. His name is Jake? Or Jay something.

I stared at them irritatingly. They were messing with Ahana who lowered her head.

“What you want?” I asked them directly.

“We want you to stay away from her.” Hailey replied.

“ I won’t. We are friends. And stop this nonsense.” I said.

“Geez why are you so stubborn? We are just saving you from being outcasted. But you are an ungrateful b***h. Fine we’ll leave.” Luke said and stood up from his seat.

I thought they’ll go after this so I ignored them and started eating. Just then I felt my hoodie becoming wet from something cold. I gasped and looked towards Luke who was dumping his cold coffee on my head. I think I heard everyone in the cafeteria gasp as well. But my whole attention was on Luke.

“Oops sorry. It’s just slipped from my hands. Sorry pretty girl.” He said trying to sound innocent. His friends laughed.

“Nisha-

“I am fine” I cut Ahana and tried to not let that coffee dirty my jeans too. I really need to go from here. Or else I don’t know what I am gonna do.

“Fine? You won’t be after this.” Hailey smirked and I didn’t got time to know what she meant as I saw her dumping all the contents of her trey over my hoodie. Everyone started laughing.

Now I clearly can’t take this s**t. I grabbed my trey and throw it along with its contents direct on her face. Her face was worth watching. I heard everyone in the cafeteria gasp and stand up from their places.

“You b***h!” her friends screamed and I felt a strong blow on my cheek making me fall on the chair next to me. I stumbled and fell on the ground with a thud. I thought I saw stars for 2 seconds. I blinked my eyes twice and touched the place where he punched. Damn it hurts. It was a strong blow. I felt blood on my lips as I touched them with my fingers and all I could see that time was red. Now I don’t really care about spending this year without breaking anyone’s bone.

“Nisha! Are you ok?” Ahana cried out as she tried to come towards me but one of those bimbos pushed her on the ground and she fell with a thud. Now I am not going to leave any of them unharmed.

I tried to stand up but a harsh tug on my hairs brought me up roughly. I grabbed that arm and twisted it anticlockwise and punched hard on his nose from which he fell back on the ground unconscious. His nose looked like a Niagra fall of blood. The sight was yuck.

I don’t care how many bones I break today but I am going to make sure no one’s gonna get from here on their two legs. No one messes with me. And these morons and bimbos need a reality check.

I turned towards those morons to see them watching me with shock and panic. Everyone in the cafeteria watched me like a hawk. I rolled my eyes and wiped the blood from corner of my mouth.

“You!” Luke said and tried to punch me square in the jaw but I grabbed his hand mid-air and kneed him down there and punched his left eye.

“Aaahhh!”

He fell on the ground holding his thing and his eye, groaning in pain. Jake pushed me on the ground hovering over me and tried to punch me on my face but I was faster than him. I rolled on my sides and quickly kicked his nape with my knees. But he grabbed my knees and pushed me back. Before he could reach me I threw a sharp punch on his ribs. I am sure I heard a crack. He rolled on his side and cried out in pain holding his left side ribs.

Two girls grabbed me from my arms and Hailey threw a punch at my stomach. I swung my leg and hit her between her thighs. She screamed and fell down crying in pain.I wrapped my foot around one of girls leg who was holding me and bend it towards front so that she break her balance and when she weakened her grip on my arm I jerked my arm towards the other girl with force so that she collapsed on the other girl. They fell on the ground.

I didn’t get much time to look towards them because a boy held me by my throat choking my food pipe. His grip was almost painful that I tried to free myself but all my efforts went in vain. He shoved me to the wall roughly making my back collide with the wall painfully. I tried to free myself from his grasp but failed miserably. Seeing me suffocating he smirked at me. But I clasped my hands together with my fingers locked and swung that with force towards his nose and kicked my foot on his shin making him detach himself completely from me. He fell on the ground holding his leg and bloody nose.

I gasped for air. He really choked me to death. He tried to stand up but I again hit his shin at the same place. He cried out loudly in pain. A kick to the shin is always painful and distracting for the opponent. I took advantage of his pain and punched hard on his nose again. I swung my foot and kicked on his stomach making him fall back on the ground holding his stomach barely conscious.

I watched as Hailey and Luke coming towards me with murderous look on their faces but I was fast enough to grab Hailey’s hair and shoved her to the lunch table before Luke attacks me. She stumbled on the table and fell on the ground.

Luke growled and tried to grab me but I moved backward and picked up the food tray placed on the table and hit his face with that. He moved back from the impact and I took that opportunity to push him on the ground on his front. I sat on his back and took a hold of both his arms twisting them backwards with full force. He groaned loudly and tried to roll on his sides but I tightened my grip on his arms and twisted them more. He cried in pain.

“Please let go! Let go!Aaaah!” he groaned and again tried to free herself. I again twisted his arms back so that his shoulders can dislocate any time, but I was careful not to do that.

“Listen here, listen well. Stay away from Me and Ahana. If I see a single scratch on her, I will make sure you guys rest on the hospital bed for the rest of your lives or rest in coffins permanently. So think before you bully someone. Not everyone is as weak as you guys think. And if you mess with me again then let me tell you it will be your last day on this Earth. Now it's your choice whether to let us rest with peace or you yourselves rest in peace.” I said loudly enough to be heard by everyone in the cafeteria.

I loosened my grip on him and stood up. He moved fastly far away from me. I watched as they stood up helping each other to stand up. Hailey stood up and limped towards me but stopped very far from me.

“You think I will leave you after this b***h. Tomorrow will be your last day in this college.” She hissed.

I guess she didn’t learned her lesson properly. I took quick steps towards her fully intended to do some more harm to her. But she suddenly screamed and ran while limping. Her all friends scurried fastly from there. I stopped in my track and watched them run as if their bum was on fire.

My eyes fell on a very shocked and immobile Ahana. Her face was showing utter horror. I thought to go towards her, but I don’t want to be with anyone for now. I am very angry and frustrated. I looked towards my sticky, wet hoodie and my irritation increased.I quickly slipped from my hoodie making everyone gasp.

No. I was not in only bra. I did have a crop top beneath my hoodie. I went towards my table and picked my backpack and stormed out of the cafeteria towards the parking lot. I was in no mood of attending further classes.

Damn it! They ruined my whole mood today. I need to get cool before going back home. I sat in my car and drove out of the college campus. I raised the volume of my player to the max. I need something to make me distract from my anger. I sped my car and started driving straight.

After sometime I reached some secluded area and stopped my car there. I slide off from the car and went towards the empty bench to sit.

I sat and looked towards the bright blue sky. Again my temper made me hurt others. Even if they did wrong but I shouldn’t have beat them that much.

No Nisha! They deserve that. They hurt Ahana and many more students like her so you did the right thing.

The resolve of not to fight this college year broke brutally. I closed my eyes and focused on my steady breaths.

“So whom did you send to the hospital today? If I may ask.” I heard a deep baritone speaking.

I took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. I should have known this person is not going to leave me anytime soon. At least not in this life.
